What benefits come with your position as a county commissioner? Isn't your health insurance being covered by the tax payers a wonderful benefit? It's time for the people to bid farewell to everyone who's purposely and pettily undercutting the good people of Beaufort County. We the people have had just about enough of this ridiculous banter and the best way to make it go away is to make the mouth in the megaphone be quiet.
Maybe we need a Katt Williams moment in eastern NC. Everyone needs to have several seats.

They were looking for Alex to manage them. Didn't happen-but Alex liked the two songs I wrote lyrics for. "Acrobat" and "Below the system". Alex said-"Stay in touch." Didn't happen. but Seager was there. His only big hit was Ranblin Gamblin Man at the time. He went on to greatness. He should be on the list. The hall deserves the bragging rights.

1. Chairman said that Chairman Water’s called and said the school board had to vote BEFORE the county would entertain funding.
2. Allied’s contract ends August 1 as the school board said if we wanted a transition we had to move for the sheriff to hire people.
3. Hood makes up stuff he must dream of while he sleeps in meetings. This county need to wake up as the longest elected commissioner he has lost many jobs, companies, and families because of his back woods policies.

There is no "radical" transgender agenda, rather there's an extremist anti-freedom agenda that pushes a pseudo-Christian line that only cisgender males with a twisted interpretation of the Bible have the right to determine what goes on inside a family.
Simply trying to let people be themselves, which is consistent both with Supreme Court rulings and the best practices of those who actually like freedom, does not constitute "pushing" anything.
And some people are straight, some are gay. Some are cisgender, some are not. The world is just going to have to get over it...and those who say they love freedom ought to, when confronted with the reality that there are transgender people in the world, and that some express their gender at an earlier age than others, those folks ought to just sit down and live their own lives rather than trying to interfere with others.

It was nice having an older sibling nearby and teachers that knew not only the children but their families. This is not a liberal view but my opinion.

The 2023 Appropriations Act Expands Eligibility for the Opportunity Scholarship Program
On October 3, 2023, the North Carolina State Budget (House Bill 259) became law. The new law authorizes several changes to the State’s Opportunity Scholarship Program, which will begin with the 2024-2025 school year.
Changes for the 2024-2025 school year include:
Removal of the income cap for families to receive the scholarship; now all North Carolina students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be eligible for the Scholarship regardless of income.
Prior public school enrollment is no longer a requirement for eligibility for the scholarship.
A student’s scholarship amount will be based on household income.
Scholarship amounts will range from approximately $3,000 to approximately $7,000.
The Opportunity Scholarship application for the 2024-2025 school year will open on February 1, 2024. Families must apply by March 1 to receive priority consideration

They take money from public schools that educate all children and send it to private schools that have tons of discriminatory admission policies. I want my tax dollars going to public schools that are accountable to everyone in the community, not just to private schools. Where are test scores for private schools? How do we know kids are learning anything at all?

I was in the Navy and sat on my rack, in the barracks, struggling to teach it to myself on my guitar. The guys in the barracks got so sick and tired of me they would yell "Amato..shut the F....up!" I finally got it pretty damned well. And then I saw PP&M do it live and it hit me "Oh my gosh....it's TWO guys!! By then I was doing it as a solo act.
