    Beaufort County Community College is a public comprehensive community college committed to providing accessible and affordable quality education, effective teaching, relevant training, and lifelong learning opportunities for the people served by the College.

    A visit earlier this month to a community college in Jakarta, Indonesia, provided valuable insights into college operations that can be of use to Beaufort County Community College, according to BCCC President Barbara Tansey.

    Dr. Tansey was one of three community college leaders from across the country chosen to serve on a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges team to review accreditation for Lone Star Community College's campus in the Indonesian capital.

    The community college is operated in conjunction with the Universitas Siswa Bangsa Internasional and its Educational Pathway Program is the only one of its kind in the country.
