    My criteria for choosing these first fluid 7 was mostly subjective; however, what objectivity I could muster was born from this criteria: 1) Longevity of creating their unique art; 2) Competence at playing their instruments (this may seem shallow to the "art for art sake aficionados"), but it is difficult for me to reward impure musicianship; 3) Songwriting ability, mostly in favor of unique flowing melody, but accompanying lyrics are most important; 4) Harmony of effort, whether vocals or instruments in unison, it must fit into a fluid flow of notes that I subjectively appreciate; 5) And then there is the pure subjectivity of impact ... Maybe that is the most important part.
