Beaufort County Statistics
- NC has had a total 207,349 confirmed cases, with 3,441 deaths. Our state currently has 27,680 active cases and 917 hospitalizations.
- Beaufort County has had a total of 1,057 cases, with 144 currently active, 9 of which are hospitalized.
- All active cases are self-isolating.
- Eastern NC counties with total confirmed cases include: Bertie, (588), Beaufort (1,057), Bladen (906), Brunswick (1,639), Carteret (708), Camden (115), Chowan (356), Columbus (1,374), Craven (1,634), Currituck (184), Dare (273), Duplin (2,379), Edgecombe (1,362), Gates (142), Greene (604), Halifax (1,025), Hertford (754), Hyde (126), Jones (158), Lenoir (1,011), Martin (460), New Hanover (4,293), Northampton (452), Onslow (2,193), Pamlico (270), Pasquotank (707), Pender (967), Perquimans (187), Pitt (4,918) Sampson (2,238), Tyrrell (116), Washington (208), Wayne (3,381) and Wilson (2,240). Mecklenburg (28,708), Wake (17,596), and Guilford (8,597) counties have the most cases.

Re-Opening Timeline / Guidelines
Below is a summary of our states plan for a phased reopening. Please note that these timelines / guidelines are subject to change based on case trends and / or additional executive orders.
Phase 2.5 (Will begin at 5pm Friday, 9/4 and continue through 5pm Friday 10/2)
Governor Cooper has announced the easing of several restrictions beginning at 5pm Friday, 9/4. This change will allow for the reopening of the following.
- Gyms at 30% Capacity
- Museums & Aquariums at 50% Capacity
- Mass Gatherings are limited to 25 people indoors and 50 people outdoors.

Restaurants and Personal Care Services must follow safety protocols including the potential need to reduce capacity. (Bar & Fitness Centers will remain closed under Executive Order 141)
Requires face coverings in public spaces when 6 ft of distancing isn't possible.

Phase III (Could begin Oct. 2nd, 2020)
- Increased capacity at Restaurants, Bars, Other Businesses, Houses of Worship & Entertainment Venues.
- Further increase the number of people allowed at gatherings.
