We hear a lot of folks pressing for a change in the Constitution to incorporate a "Balanced Budget Amendment". The argument is based on the belief that such an amendment would force the Congress to rein its profligate spending habits. It certainly sounds like a winner.

One recent Tuesday was Constitution Day - September 17. It marks the day that the Convention in Philadelphia in 1787 concluded and the final draft of Constitution was signed by the delegates who attended.

We hear that as many as 30 states have petitioned to secede from the Union.. Do you suppose those are really the states asking or is it some nut from the state posting the petitions?? It seems fairly clear that the ability to secede from the United States has already been settled.
