Stan- Fact - some white men are racist. How can you possibly deny it? Is racism a wide spread cross cultural phenomena? Absolutely. Racism is an unfortunate part of the human condition. Doctors are educated people with years of actual education, training and experience. They have a code of ethics going way back and have to answer to a licensing board as well as the judicial system.

Most of this isn't actually true. The only reference listed that is real is the first one: NIH. If you click on it it says the vax is worth the risk. The remaining references are crackpot sites. There are no guarantees in life but the anti-vax hill is the dumbest hill to die on.

I don't understand the big issue with waiting for a new city manager to hire the next police chief. As I understand it, the city manager works for city council and everyone else (except city attorney and clerk) in the organization works for the city manager. The new manager should get to hire his own staff, not someone hired by an interim city manager. He builds his own team and if the council doesn't like how things are going, they fire the city manager. It is like a new coach getting stuck with the old coach's assistants or the city manager hiring the assistant police chief instead of the police chief hiring them.
