That North and South divide seems so inconsequential today, doesn't it? But it was real!

In that you only get 20 minutes a week for the steep price of $279/mo, I don't think you would be in any danger of being bored or running out of things to do!!

Thanks, Stan. I'm having loads of fun. I even have a book signing scheduled in October in St. Simons for my new book! Since this one is written by the dog, Island Dog is hosting the event.

Commissioner Richardson, you made no such request. You asked where I got my information. I told you during our phone conservation on September 23, 2021, at 8:30 am that if you want to read about the powers of the Constitutionally elected Sheriff you should read the book by Sheriff Richard Mack called " County Sheriff Americas Last Hope." Since you evidently have not read it, I have ordered a copy and had it mailed to your home. It is scheduled to arrive between November 4 to 12. Please review it and pass it along to other members of the Beaufort County Commission. I'm sure you will find it quite interesting. This book outlines how the Constitutionally elected sheriff has powers to stop Federal and State overreach. It gives many examples where it has been done throughout the United States. A police department has no such powers and would jeopardize the constitutional rights of our citizens. Evidenced by the recent orders that most sheriffs in North Carolina told the federal and state governments that they would not enforce things like closing churches and forcing people to comply with unconstitutional mandates.

Protesting injustice is simply taking a stand. Protesting things that don't exist is disruption for the point of disruption.

Case in point: MLK, Jr leading protest marches for civil rights was taking a stand. BLM blocking highways and burning cities is disruption.

Yes it would. Our parents' message got thru to us. Many think protesting is the Christian thing to do. Protesting is not biblical.

Obama has set the dial for his followers. The violence that has erupted at Trump rallies is nothing compared to the violence that will be seen if Trump wins. At least short term.

As usual, spot-on, Stan. I guess Comey just could not live up to his reputation. Sad day for America.

You are "spot on" in your assessment of Obama. He has only one thing in his sights. His LEGACY. He feels he is above the law, because he's been given a pass at every turn. He never listens to the American citizen, and has completely disregarded the Constitution.

In response to an article titled "Mapping the Left," I would like to tell you a little about the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation and about some of our partners that are working to make their communities better places to live.

The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation proudly supports groups that are creating greater economic opportunities; investing in strong public schools; developing solid leadership for the future; and trying to make it easier for citizens to have a voice in our democracy.

We support community-based groups from down east where the Ocracoke Foundation is engaging the community in revitalizing its historic square on the Ocracoke Harbor to Craven County, where a joint effort is underway to create a small business incubator for potential entrepreneurs.

We also support groups like Mecklenburg Citizens for Public Education, Asheville City Schools Foundation and Guilford Education Alliance who are working across sectors to make sure each child in their community leaves school prepared to succeed in work and in life and organizations like Gaston Together, which is ensuring the next generation is prepared to lead that community going forward.

The list goes on, from the mountains to the coast. We invite you to visit our website to learn more about us and the work we fund. Together, we can continue to build vital communities and make North Carolina a great state for all of us to live.

A post by a friend of mine...

Dr. Seuss-2011
I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals. I do not like ex-speaker Nan, I do not like this YES WE CAN. I do not like this spending spree, I'm smart, I know that nothing's free. I do not like their smug replies, when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope. I do not like it. Nope, nope, nope!

Requiring photo identification would without a doubt eliminate the various forms of voter fraud. People would no longer be able to vote multiple times using false identities as well as the stated issue of illegal immigrants. My question is why would you want to prevent a flawed system to be remedied? If a politician want votes so desperately, that they don't care how the race is won, then they shouldn't be running, much less elected. Which goes to show how confident they must be are in themselves and what they "stand for".
