Populist conservatives like Trump and traditional conservatives like Reagan ahd Helms or DeSantis and Cruz have more in common than either does with a RINO / Undocumented Democrat like Cheney, Romney, Lankford, or McConnell. Those Undocumented Democrats have been working to push liberal policy under both Obama and Biden.

Traditional conservatives and populist conservatives agree on over 90% of issues.

Traditional Democrats, however are very different than the woke / progressives who infest that party today. I remember a Republican US senate campaign ad in Massachusetts where they had a speech from JFK who gave most of it, with it finishing with the GOP senate candidate at the same location. JFK's speech could have easily been given by just about any Republican today, including Trump.

I agree bhawk, the illegal migration into this country has to be stopped.

Now there can be solutions for these problems but, the government must find common ground to achieve anything, which we know is almost asking for a miracle at this point. Rather then getting angry about the occurring of events beyond our control, it is more profitable to think about these events as divine judgment. As it was written:

O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

For a socialist, you seem to have a different view of the economy than we capitalists.
INFALTION? - at least 18% so far under Biden-Harris, and if you look at broader measures probably at least 23%. It was less than 2% when Trump left office. Enjoy your high gas prices, high food prices, and all the other high prices Biden-Harris have brought us?
JOBS? - Percentage of Americans in the work force has declined under Biden-Harris. Their new jobs are mostly part-time or for illegal aliens.
GROWTH? - anemic under Biden-Harris, robust under Trump pre-Covid
PUBLIC DEBT? - exploding under Biden-Harris, where it will soon be unsustainable

Then there is the dollar itself. Since Biden-Harris have been in, foreign central banks have been decreasing their dollar holdings because they no longer have faith in our economy. What are they acquiring by the ton for reserves is gold.

Kamala Harris' radical far left positions on a wide variety of issues, which would destroy our economy and society in the name of her far left ideology is bad enough. THe very worst, however is Walz and Harris' distrain for freedom of speech, the essential cornerstone of democracy, and their support of government censorship instead. Bob I understand there are some people who seemingly worship Trump in a cult like fashion, this MAGA you refer to.

It is offensive however that you generalize everyone who would vote for him as this type of person. Many, including myself, do not really favor Trump as a person. There is a lot of evil about him, but we would vote for him because he appears to be for certain principles. Honestly though he may care less. He IS a con man. He profits from bankruptcies in his personal ventures and this is reflected on how he runs the country. I believe he could bankrupt the country but that is inevitable at this point. We know it will happen because we know of the world government in the last days.

In reality, there IS a lot about the Trump movement that is reminiscent of 1930’s Germany, and I can understand the concern of events going downhill.

All we can do is have faith in this:
