Comments for Another Political Campaign Begins

Key county, state and national elections are coming next year. Finding true conservative candidates is vital.

Stan: I agree. I think it is important to be as self-sufficient as possible. Dependent people are a step away from being desperate. Desperate people are easy to manipulate.

Thanks Van Zant; I am an advocate and a facilitator of the Homesteading concept, where there will be solitude, safety, and self-sufficiency within a community of like minded folks.

Stan: It's the World Economic Forum held annually in Davos, Switzerland. A few years ago, they made that video with young actors touting, "You will own nothing and be happy." They want a world carbon tax and wish to force people to use public transportation. Oh yeah, they think it's not good for us regular folks to eat meat; grasshoppers would be better. National borders? Who needs that? Live outside a population center - Should not be allowed according to them. That's just a bit of it. There are hundreds of pages of UN Bull $#!T these elitists want to force on us ordinary peasants of the world.

Van Zant: What does the symbolic letters WEF stand for?

JV: You're right. WEF influence runs deep and wide and should not be underestimated.

Speaking of Uncle Frankie, has anybody heard anything about the megaschools?

I haven't heard a peep from anyone of position, have y'all?

There're "rumblings" that the Greater BOCO Metropolis project may have run into issues and that there's a damage control plan being rolled around. Again, this isn't coming from me; this is coming from what I've heard in talking with people who have a good pulse on things throughout the county.

When Unca Stan, point blank, asked Randy Walker about the current numbers of enrollment some months back, Randy spouted off that "test scores are better than ever and people are coming to Beaufort County."

I think there's some truth to these "rumblings" and they might have some connection to why Uncle Frankie is allegedly not running next time around.

We'll see.......

Conservative Voter: I will not believe that Frankie Waters is not running until one minute after the last moment he has file, and then does not.

If Stacey DAvis' seat doesnt come up again until 2028, I think she should run for County Commissioner.

Good riddance to Democrat-in-Drag Frankie Waters. He has been a fifth columnist within the GOP since his opportunistic change of party.

Stacey Davis' seat does not come up again until 2028, but I expect the usual suspects to go after her then. I hear that liberal Democrat Mac Hodges is eyeing a comeback attempt, but he may pull a Frankie Waters and do an opportunist "conversion". Mac Hodges sat there for years as nothing but a rubberstamp for the superintendent, totally useless.

Frankie Waters announced today he's giving up his seat due to health reasons. There's a new open seat for 2026.

I expect School Bd to see several challenges to Davis, both in the party and/or other party unless party affiliations take place.

VZ: Since 2020, there have been several interesting conversations among "Clint Eastwood" conservative-minded thinkers pertaining to the core problems of the current GOP and how it was being hijacked.

One issue that many "modern conservatives" shy away from discussing is the local implementation of globalist politics and how it effects the surrounding communities. Handlers get real nervous when regional parties start talking about related Geopolitical matters.

Remember....US politicians can most definitely get donations from the WEF. A turd rolls downhill.

Beaufort County has its own local "deep state" of pompous bureaucrats who treat elected officials as their underlings, and thus we have our own local swamp that needs to be drained. Replacing the city manager should be the first step now that we have a new city council. His replacement should be someone who understands that he is an employee, not the boss.
Commented: Friday, November 14th, 2025 @ 5:16 pm By: Conservative Voter
Here in Beaufort County, we have lots of questions about most of the things that are done. If this cadre of local GOP masterminds really care about Republican goals, then why are they doing the things that they do? There are plenty of examples.

The best examples lately are the School Board. Ms. Davis recently defeated a 40-year incumbent Democrat. The GOP masterminds are already demanding she resign and are plotting to defeat her in a future primary if she doesn't. Things were OK with them with a Democrat there for decades but not now?

Mr. Hickman, a couple of years ago defeated a 30-year incumbent Democrat in a district that no Republican ever ran in. The Beaufort County intelligentsia can't have that, so they find a primary opponent. Remember it was not a priority at all when a Democrat was there for decades.

Over the years some of the backstabbing local GOP people have been given a free pass, saying it is just some kind of personality conflicts. Recent events have proven it is a lot deeper and more diabolical than that.

Befuddled, the staff has way too much power in local government, be it the city council, the county commission, or the school board. A big part of the problem is the lazy and ineffective elected officials who let them do it. Hopefully we now have a city council that will crack the whip, or even better get a new city manager. On the county commission, we have four puppets of the county manager letting him do as he pleases. The situation is the same with the school board majority and the imperial superintendent.

With the legislature, the problem is a bit different. It is too much reliance on special interest lobbyists and, even worse, being a puppet to legislative leadership. Kidwell does not have either of those problems, and our local state senator is impressing me more and more on that score as well.

In Congress, it is the same problem with the establishment leadership and the special interest lobbyists. Greg Murphy promised to join the conservative Freedom Caucus when he got to DC and stand up to the leadership but instead almost immediately started brown nosing the leadership. I am happy we are shifting to the 1st district, where the likely new Congressman will be State Senator Bobby Hanig who has never been a yes-man to Phil Berger but stood his ground for his constituents and for principle. He will make an excellent congressman. Hanig's latest success for his constituents was being the key figure in blowing up Phil Berger's attempt to put our commercial fishermen out of business.

Kidwell is not rock solid at all. He is swishy.
Here today and gone tomorrow.
BUtting into our local affairs one day by calling for resignations, and the next day he is telling constituents that he cant help with
local govt issues.
This means he is acting like a shadow govt, perhaps steering the
cabal. Causing a divide the way Dems do. We need a legislator who doesnt play games w WeThePpl.

Lazy elected officials make them puppets. This is my warning to the newly elected City Council, who if they are not on their toes will surrender their power to "THE STAFF." Let me warn you of this, the City Manager will gladly do your job for u because that means he has ALL the power. The Citizens even learn to call him first because, they know He Runs the Show. Sadly!

CT, be like Charlie Kirk and try to bridge the gap.
You know there are people that dont read NOW, because they believe it is "fake news." If they are elected Representatives, then they are really missing out on what is reality here locally. Hence they are in their own bubble. Communication is always key.

IT is an issue of supply and demand. Letting in a flood of illegal aliens means they have to have somewhere to live. The housing supply is the same, but there is more demand, so rents go up. That has also happened with hotels in places like New York City where illegal aliens have been placed in hotels, and the room rates have soared in other hotels as a result. Europe has seen the same dynamics on housing costs from the swarms of illegal aliens.

Also, I would hardly call a candidate who aligns with the Forest woman a "conservative". The Forest woman is another of those yankee carpetbaggers.

Part 2 (more restrained and professional):

The underlying problem that permeates through the turd tossing, that is sometimes very hard to NOT engage in, is the witch-hunt against "native" conservatives who tell it like it is regardless of who is involved. If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

All politics are local; the same clownshow that's happening HERE against native common sense conservatives who want to reign in the outside stupidity and cut out the middle man is happening EVERYWHERE there's people of a community with common sense.

Jesus on a bicycle, folks; what the hell does "illegal immigration" have to do with the housing market? This is the distractionary stupidity that takes people away from the meat and potatoes of any issue....divide, conquer and distract.

While I'm on the issue of "stupid", I wonder what up and coming "conservatives" like Mr. Garrison think about 50 year mortgages and the insanely stupid comment Vance made the other day?
Commented: Friday, November 14th, 2025 @ 6:46 am By: John Valley
Kidwell is rock solid on illegal immigration issues. He is a proven quantity. This Austin Garrison does not sound like someone I would trust.
Commented: Friday, November 14th, 2025 @ 7:46 am By: borderhawk
Befuddled: Kidwell needs to go Audi 5000 and fade into obscurity like Mark Robinson has. I don't understand (I actually do understand) how he keeps "winning re-election" when many common sense conservatives cannot stand him. Either it's rigged OR somebody's got a few tapes of the ol' Karpetbagger with his name in sharpie across the top.

JS: Kidwell IS NOT a strong conservative leader in the NC House; He's a legend in his own mind and not even a native of NC. Everyone knows he's an a-hole but yet some in this area still vote for him because......he's got an "R" by his name. THAT's the biggest problem; people who still think that the GOP does no wrong and that the two-party system is legit.

Insanity- Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results
Commented: Thursday, November 13th, 2025 @ 1:30 pm By: John Valley
I'm sorry JS but Kidwells treatment of the local ppl of his district is a lot more important to me ... because what happens here locally can be a lot more painful and personally painful...than what they do in Raleigh. Kidwell talks out of both sides of his mouth and lies to the local people. He only gets involved locally when it suits him, such as calling for the resignation of a school board member. He plays sneaky insider politics in Beaufort County. The kind of politics that most people here on this site complain about. AND he bends a knee to his rich local donors and powerful influencers.

Kidwell needs to be primaried.
Commented: Thursday, November 13th, 2025 @ 8:47 am By: Befuddled
Kidwell is an important conservative leader in the NC House, regardless of what you think of his positions regarding the local party leadership. Replacing him with a non-conservative like Austin Garrison would make no sense at all.
Commented: Thursday, November 13th, 2025 @ 6:42 am By: John Steed
Maybe Austin can run to replace Kidwell. I would vote for him for that!
