Comments for Today's Republicans; The Continuing and True Conservative

The Republican party has transformed in a number of ways over the past 20 years.

John Valley: That is quite a fine endorsement that I do wholly appreciate, as a candidate, and, moreover, as a human being who does all that I can to make whatever difference that is possible, all while existing in the political minority on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners.

Thank-you for your gracious endorsement, and I pledge, if I ever find myself in a Conservative majority, I will work within majority to make immediate changes here in Beaufort County's government.

I don't get involved in many elections anymore BUT I do believe that local elections are very important; they are the first line of defense and it's important to get your affairs in order on the home front before worrying about anything else.

Stan is a friend to common sense conservatives, a mentor to creative minds and doesn't stand for homogenized corporate autocracy. He has my vote and support. I urge others to do their homework and continue to root out those who stand against common sense; nobody is going to save us but US.

Thanks to all Conservatives who have kept me in office, even in these days when RINO candidates will profess to be a Conservative, but govern like a Democratic Socialist once they fool the public to get elected as the all too common Lying-"Conservative."

Self-Governed "public," it is up to YOU to KNOW who the RINOs are, and it is up to you to elect the right people to office, or the Waste, Fraud and Abuse will continue.

And just who are RINO's, the Lying-"Conservatives?"

That is all here in plain sight, for your perusal, on the current pages, and in the annals here on this long standing publication.

Yep, I will continue to stand by Stan as he stands up for us.

Stan knows how to take a big punch, for all of us constituents, from those corrupt, possibly evil forces amassed, and then he stands back up, and hits back hard.

I like that in a man that represents me and mine.

Stan Deatherage is the proven conservative in the commission race. Over the years he has operated honestly and transparently. Not many in Beaufort County politics can say that. If Deatherage can be re-elected and one more like him gets through the commission election, Beaufort County can enter a new day in governance. A better day.

I am just now finding out about all these "RINOs" in Beaufort County politics, and what I hear about about them "RINOs" makes me real mad. I reckon them "RINOs" better steer clear of me when I get mad like this.

Stan Deatherage is one of those tried and true conservatives. He got his start decades ago in the Beaufort County Young Republican Club and has had an exemplary record as a county commissioner, having never voted for a tax increase.

He is a breath of fresh air compared to the poseurs, who switch their registration on paper from Democrat to Republican, but underneath remain the same old Democrat. Frankie Waters is a prime example of these fake "Republicans", switching on paper but still playing ball with the Democrats. We see several of those in the current primary like Monica Davis, who has been a Democrat most of the time she has lived in Beaufort County but switched on paper to "Republican" to try to pull the wool over our eyes in running for the school board. Another is Darren Armstrong, a longtime Marc Basnight Democrat, who now masquerades as a "Republican" to try to take our House seat.

Excellent piece Dave and Stan. Nothing more need be said. I just hope EVERY conservative, be they with a "D", "R" or "U" beside their name on the voting rolls will read every word of this and share it with as many like-minded voters as possible. Beaufort County has suffered to long and too much from these RINO's among us. For too many years we have been afflicted with those who see county government solely as a means to transfer wealth from those who have to those who neither care nor know better. It is high time that conservative governance be given a chance to show what it can do. If Stan is re-elected and one more conservative wins it will be a new day in Beaufort County. The Lord knows we need it.

I applaud Commissioner Deatherage for struggling against all those folks that want big, progressive government, because, government should be more in line with the business of life, rather than the business of waste and corruption.

Good Commissioner Deatherage, you have my vote and I will tell everyone to vote the same. We just can't stand more and more of what we essentially don't need.
