These theme French ladies certainly understand the nature of their calling in color and theme: Above and below. images by Stan Deatherage

And these parade participants sashay down the cobbled street, the Griffon continues to whirl like a buzz bomb overhead, with the screams of its riders echoing in our ears: Above and below. images by Stan Deatherage

The parade reminded me of a colorized Frederico Felini film: Edgy in its surreal depiction of the flamboyant European expression of mirth. Follow the pictures and imagine the awesome wierd of the Italian master of the absurd: Above and below. images by Stan Deatherage

Frederico Felini's artful visions or no, the colorful parade is just a part of the reason why the European-themed park has been voted the "Most Beautiful Park," by members of the National Amusement Park Historical Association, For the 20th consecutive year: Above and below.
