The Duke report also found that despite globalization, the furniture industry remains a critical source of jobs in North Carolina and an important source of tax revenue for state and local governments. The market is the key event for the furniture economic sector and includes a range of activities from manufacturing, to distribution, to design, marketing and professional services.
