Dare County GOP Announces 2016 Precinct Meeting | Eastern NC Now

This year is perhaps the most important election of our lifetime. In the month of February we kick off the political season as registered voters participate at the town level by selecting their voting Delegates to the annual Dare County Convention.

    This year is perhaps the most important election of our lifetime. In the month of February we kick off the political season as registered voters participate at the town level by selecting their voting Delegates to the annual Dare County Convention. Also, precinct voters may recommend to the County Convention changes to the NC Republican Party Platform and the County and/or the NC Republican Party Plan of Organization as well as recommend changes to the rules of the Dare County Convention. Voters may submit resolutions to forward to the NC Republican Party.

    Republicans registered in their home precinct by January 31st 2016 are welcome to participate in their annual precinct meetings. Come out and meet your neighbors. Support the election process in the tradition of our great Founding Fathers.

    The Colington GOP Precinct meeting, chaired by Frank Warnecki, will be held on Monday February 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the Colington Firehouse located at 108 Schoolhouse Road in Colington. The Duck GOP Precinct meeting, chaired by Dave Krieger; the East Lake GOP Precinct meeting; the Frisco GOP Precinct meeting; the Hatteras GOP Precinct meeting; the Stumpy Point GOP Precinct meeting; and the Wanchese GOP Precinct meeting will meet Saturday March 19th just prior to the Dare County Republican Convention at 8:30 a.m. at the Dare County Center located at 950 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo. The KDH GOP Precinct, chaired by Michael Midgette, will be held Wednesday February 17th at the KDH Town Hall at 102 Town Hall Drive in KDH at 7:00 p.m. The Kitty Hawk GOP Precinct meeting, chaired by, Jim Harrison, will be held on Saturday February 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the KH Town Hall located at 101 Veterans Memorial Drive, Kitty Hawk. The Manteo Precinct chaired by Ken Barnes will be held on February 10th at the Manteo Library located at 700 HWY 64/264 at 7:00 p.m. The Southern Shores GOP Precinct, chaired by Jim Harris, will be held on Wednesday February 3rd at 6:30 at the Pitt Center located at 5377 N Virginia Dare Trail.

    To be scheduled are Republican precinct meetings for Avon, Buxton, Chicamacomico, Manns Harbor and Nags Head. If none are scheduled in February, these precincts will meet Saturday March 19th just prior to the Dare County Republican Convention at 8:30 a.m. at the Dare County Center located at 950 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.

    Watch for information coming soon about our annual Lincoln-Reagan dinner recently scheduled for April 1st at Capt George's Seafood Buffet in Kill Devil Hills with special guest keynote speaker Dale Folwell, Republican nominee for NC Treasurer and former Speaker Pro Tempore of the North Carolina House of Representatives.
