Governor Pat McCrory's Innovation Center (iCenter) is excited to announce that nominations for the first annual Innovation Awards are now open.

    RALEIGH, N.C (March 21, 2016)     Governor Pat McCrory's Innovation Center (iCenter) is excited to announce that nominations for the first annual Innovation Awards are now open. Governor McCrory established the iCenter in 2013 to identify challenges, create solutions and transform the way state government delivers products and services.


    "We are thrilled to launch this awards program and recognize the excellent work being done to make government more effective, efficient and user-friendly for the citizens of North Carolina," said iCenter Director Eric Ellis. "These awards will recognize forward-thinking leaders who are positively impacting the public sector through innovation."

    The iCenter is currently accepting nominations in the following categories:

  • Demonstrated Excellence in Project Management
  • Best Application Serving an Agency's Mission
  • Best Application Serving the Public
  • Best IT Collaboration Among Organizations
  • Best Mobile/Wireless Project
  • Most Innovative Use of Social Media/Citizen Engagement
  • Best Data Analytics/Business Intelligence Initiative.

    To nominate someone, please go to icenter.nc.gov/content/innovation-awards. Nominations will be accepted until mid-May, and winners will be announced at the 2016 NC Digital Government Summit on August 31 and September 1.
