Wake Forest professor probes prospects for economic prosperity, peril



    As we prepare for the onset of a new presidential administration, many people are wondering what impact Donald Trump will have on the American economy. Looking beyond the short term, still others are looking at America’s economic prospects over the next 50 years. They’re searching for signs of future prosperity or peril.

    Wake Forest University economist Robert Whaples co-edited a recent book collecting various long-term economic forecasts. He shared themes from the book during a speech Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
