For Immediate Release:

Gloria and I are avid readers of the wonderful devotional "Our Daily Bread." I copied the following from their website for you:

"Since 1956, 'Our Daily Bread' has been the favorite devotional used by millions of people around the world. By subscribing to 'Our Daily Bread' you can enjoy the timely stories and life applications found in its pages. Spend time in God's Word and find deeper meaning in each day's Scripture reading." (http://www.odb.org./subscriptions/).

There is a bit of nostalgia involved for me personally because as I was growing up I don't think I ever remember coming down to breakfast in the morning without seeing my mother sitting at the kitchen table with her bible open and a current copy of "Our Daily Bread" sitting beside it. Christian mothers are a special gift from God. Those of you who have been to see Alleluia this summer have heard about some of our cast member's moms - including mine...and you know exactly what I mean. My mom (her name is Joan) is a young octogenarian and going strong. She lives in Texas but came here to NC for many summers in a row when the theatre was first open to the public to help out wherever she could. She'll be here to see the Christmas show both in Edenton and Rocky Mount!! Can't wait.

We recently discovered that "Our Daily Bread" can be delivered to your email inbox every morning...so we subscribed. It's free (though I am sure they accept donations) and I promise there's no better way to start the day. They also send you the audio version in case you want to "hear" the word in that way!! Gloria and I just wanted to pass that along to everyone. Go to http://www.odb.org./subscriptions/ if you want to subscribe.

We've had a few disappointed folks calling our box office the last few days because tomorrow's performance is completely sold out. We are encouraging folks to book for the final performance of Alleluia on Saturday, August 11 because there are still some seats available. If you were thinking of coming tomorrow (August 7) and just "walking in" please reconsider and come along this Saturday. We always recommend reservations in advance.

The last two performances are going to be powerful...guaranteed. Also, don't forget to start making plans to attend the fall show -- Carolina Jamboree 2012. If you liked the Alleluia harmony you'll go wild at the Jamboree!!!
