    Tina Bos Boerema, 87, of 4085 NC 45 N., Pantego, entered eternal glory to be with her faithful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 29, 2012, in Byron Center, Michigan.

    Born in the Netherlands on December 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Hendrik and Antje deRoos Bos. In 1949 she immigrated with her husband Gerrit Boerema to the United States and they lived in Missouri and Minnesota before settling in the Grassy Ridge community near Pantego, NC in 1957. Together they began a dairy farm which continues to operate as a grain farm today by sons Edward and Dennis and grandson Isaac.

    Tina's family is deeply grateful for her nurturing love shown to them and faithful prayers offered for them. Her love for Christ, warm hospitality, compassionate care and encouragement were a blessing to many people. She had a deep love for the Bible, especially the Psalms. She was an active member of Covenant United Reformed Church of Pantego.

    Tina will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Edward Boerema and wife Nelly and Dennis Boerema, all of Pantego; two daughters, Barbara Sanders and husband Dan and Renae Sausser and husband Paul, all of Wyoming, MI. Her life was also enriched with eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Galen Boerema and wife Livija (Juliana, Katherine, Elena, Meredith) of Raleigh, Isaac Boerema and wife Leah of Pantego, Marike Mericle and husband Andrew (Judah) of Mechanicsville, VA, Jurgen Boerema of Pantego, Kiam Boerema of West Point, NY, Jeremy Sanders of Seoul, Korea, Karen Sanders of Chicago, Matthew Sanders of Grand Rapids, MI, Kristin Anderson and husband David of Chicago, Jared Sanders and wife Kate of Palos Heights, IL, and Mark Sanders of Wheaton, IL. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Aaltje Dallinga of the Netherlands, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerrit in 1990, four brothers, Roelf, Eilke, Hendrik, Albert, and a sister, Wietske.

    Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in Covenant United Reformed Church, 24599 US Hwy 264 E., Pantego, officiated by the Rev. Paul Sausser. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Calvin Tuininga. Pallbearers will be Galen, Isaac, Jurgen, and Kiam Boerema, Andrew Mericle, David Anderson, and Jeremy, Matthew, Jared and Mark Sanders. Friends may join the family Thursday, October 4, 2012, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the church and all other times at the home of Edward and Nelly Boerema, 3333 NC 45 North, Pantego.

    The family is very grateful for the skilled and compassionate care Tina received from the staff at Faith Hospice in Byron Center, MI during the final days of her life on earth.
