    Sue Brinn Conway, a resident of 1065 Burbage Road, Bath, NC, departed this life Monday, October 8, 2012.

    A Celebration of Sue's life will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Bath, NC, officiated by the Reverends Eric Zubler and Gary Fulton. Interment will immediately follow at the Brinn Family Cemetery, 1065 Burbage Road, Bath. The family will receive friends at St. Clair's Church of Christ, Bath, NC, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 12, and other times at her home and the homes of her sisters.

    Honorary Pallbearers are Les Burbage, C.M. Cartwright, John Mike Spain, Don Burbage, Greg Burbage, Wilson Paul, Mike Godley, Johann Manson, Rex Burbage, Edward Burbage, Faye Burbage, Pat Rice, Winkie Lassiter, Brenda Godley, Jennie Hollowell, Elaine Horne, Sandra McCann, Holly Wade, Lela Sprigs, and Emily Alberra.

    Ms. Conway was born February, 25, 1944, to parents Jatha B. and Lucy Grey Brinn who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters Barbara B. Mason and husband Jack, June B. Wallace and her husband Jack, Angelia B. Shackelford and husband Chip; nephew Jay Mason and wife Michelle, nieces Leigh Anne M. Clark, Jenni W. Uzzell and husband Lemmie, Gina W. Hull and husband Robbie; great-nephews Ryan Mason, Colby Mason, Alex Clark, Tyler Clark, Jack Uzzell; great-nieces Rachel B. Uzzell, Greyson Hull, Avery Hull and many beloved cousins and friends.

   Ms. Conway was a vivacious lady who had a zest for life. She attended Bath High School, graduating in 1962. She graduated from East Carolina University in 1965. After a short career of teaching in schools at Fort Bragg, NC, and Poquoson, VA, her love of color and fashion led her to launch a career in Men's Wear which led her to live in Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York City.

    She traveled the world for work and pleasure. Upon leaving the fashion industry Sue returned to the Brinn Farm where she enjoyed her flowers, animals and immersed herself in realizing her dream of the restoration of the family farm and perpetuating the home place for the next generation. She worked at Northside High School for the past several years and took an active role in the community. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and served on the vestry. She was a member of the Pam-le-co Book Club, Historic Bath Garden Club, Bath High School Preservation and the Bath Community Rescue Squad.
