    Hurricane Sandy, a killer storm with over 58 already dead in its wake, is passing the North Carolina coast slightly further to the east, and appears that it will make landfall further north, just south from the center of the New Jersey shore.

    This may spare North Carolina from a second devastating hurricane in as many years, but we we must remain vigilant to the information at hand to stay as safe as is possible.

Below we have the most current 10:00 am map, and further below, we have the 7:00 am map of the storm's progress, and it's projected landfall.
