    Felts FAQs

If this is in Davie County, does this mean the event is in Mocksville?

No. Mocksville is the county seat but not where the event is. A lot of reporters have wound up in Mocksville in the past. Mocksville is lovely, but it's not where Ted Budd's Primary Night event will be.

    What town is it then?

It's technically the Town of Bermuda Run. I say "technically" because, for a long time, Bermuda Run was a country club best known for hosting the Bing Crosby Celebrity Golf Tournament. But now it's a municipality bordered by Hillsdale, Advance, and on the other side of the river, Clemmons.

I'm coming in from out-of-state. What's the closest airport?

Greensboro (GSO) is closest (approximate drive-time of 45 minutes) but Charlotte (CLT) probably has more flight options (approximate drive-time of 2 hours).

Is there a good nightlife scene I can hit after your event?

Uhhmmmm...if you want to cover the winner, you'll need to be at the Ted Budd event. If you want a good nightlife scene, I'd probably give a slight advantage to Charlotte with the bonus being that the McCrory event will likely be over in plenty of time for reporters to still make an 8:30 dinner reservation.
