FBI Whistleblower Reveals Widespread Disgust Inside Bureau In Bombshell Bongino Interview

An FBI whistleblower warned that the bureau has been transformed from a law enforcement agency to an intelligence-gathering operation that spies on law-abiding Americans to help advance a political agenda and said thousands of agents and employees feel betrayed by the bureau's leadership.
Kyle Seraphin told podcaster and radio host Dan Bongino over a bombshell, two-part interview that agents are routinely directed to spy on Americans with little or no basis, the bureau's management ranks are hopelessly politicized by inexperienced corporate climbers, and that hundreds of experienced agents are staying on despite their disgust simply to collect their pensions.
"The number of guys who say, 'I don't agree with what's going on here, but I've got three years to retire,' it's heartbreaking," said Seraphin, a five-year veteran and former Air Force member who is currently suspended without pay and unable to seek another job without quitting or getting the FBI's permission.
In one particularly poignant segment, Seraphin recalled being sent to Washington, D.C.'s Holocaust Memorial Museum as part of his orientation. New agents, he said, were told that the atrocity could not have happened without the participation of "minor government officials" supported by local and federal law enforcement.
"If anybody refuses to get with the program, it doesn't happen," he said. "The answer, 'I'm just following orders,' the Nuremberg piece, it doesn't fly. We know better."
Seraphin said he was adhering to that training when he came forward but is now being punished for doing so.
"We're supposed to know that if they ask you to do something that is illegal, immoral, or unethical, following orders is not an excuse," he said.
Seraphin said he believes he was already a marked man inside the bureau for refusing to get a COVID vaccination after having contracted the virus in late 2020. He was given a religious exemption, but he helped organize as many as 300 FBI employees who also objected to the government mandate.
But last November, after Attorney General Merrick Garland in testimony to lawmakers denied that the Department of Justice was targeting education-activist parents with law enforcement tools reserved for terrorists, Seraphin says he blew the whistle. Seraphin, who previously worked in the bureau's Washington field office but by last year was stationed in New Mexico, went to his local member of Congress with an email that had been widely circulated within the bureau. The email, he said, relayed Garland's orders to use Patriot Act counterterrorism tools to target parents at school board meetings through a tag called "EDUOFFICIALS."
The scandal blew up when it was revealed that the DOJ issued the orders after coordinating with the White House and the National School Boards Association to vilify as "domestic terrorists" parents who objected to the teaching of radical gender and race theories. The school board association later apologized as dozens of state members left in protest.
"That's when you become part of political hatchet jobs, and I didn't sign up for that, and nobody I know signed up for that either," Seraphin said. "That's not what people want to get involved in."
Bongino praised Seraphin for coming forward and predicted that the whistleblower floodgates will open at the FBI.
"Having worked with a number of patriotic FBI professionals in the past, I knew it was only a matter of time before patriots like Kyle stepped forward to expose the unfortunate rot at the Bureau," Bongino, a best-selling author and former U.S. Secret Service agent, told The Daily Wire.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) says at least 14 whistleblowers have contacted his office to complain about how partisan politics has infected the bureau and turned it against conservative Americans. Allegations include silencing investigations of Hunter Biden's damning laptop, manipulating crime statistics, and spying on law-abiding Americans. Recently, one whistleblower, Steve Friend, alleged that the bureau is under orders to inflate the number of domestic terrorism cases. Friend was suspended after his name was leaked to a media outlet.
"We now understand based on what we've learned that he's been suspended, which appears to be some kind of retaliation," Jordan told the John Solomon Reports podcast. "The law says that whistleblowers, agents coming forward as whistleblowers, are protected by the law. There's not supposed to be retaliation."
Seraphin said "more than people than you think" are coming forward and that many have left the bureau as, in their view, it has become part of a partisan agenda. He said agents qualify for pensions of up to $60,000 a year after putting in 20 years, and many that are more than halfway toward qualifying are just hanging on despite their disgust with leadership under Director Christopher Wray.
Seraphin said several agents he knows took part in the August 8 raid on former President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, which he said he would've refused to participate in.
"I've got friends that I don't speak to after that," he said. "I assume they were part of it. I don't know what happened, but you guys forgot to throw the B.S. flag on that.
"You ask me to go raid President Obama's house, you ask me to raid President Bush's house, it's not happening," he continued. "It's not happening. I'm sorry, it's not happening. I'm not doing that. I'm going to be, probably pretty vocal. That's probably going to be my last day."
