White House Midterm Plan: Deny Reality

The White House cannot admit the truth about the state of the country, so they are doing the next best thing - denying any problem exists at all, especially as it relates to the economy, the border, and life in the womb.
Biden, known for tall tales and wandering aimlessly, apparently has his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre focused on dodging any difficult question. Instead, she simply spews nonsense.
On Friday, Jean-Pierre stated that Biden is working to bring down inflation "without sacrificing all of the historic gains that we made this past year and life-changing economic gains this country has made over the last 19 months."
Pardon? "Life-changing" isn't always a good thing. Under Biden, life has changed for the worse.
Jean-Pierre's comments came just hours after the Heritage Foundation released a study showing that the average American has lost the equivalent of $4,200 in annual income since Biden took office.
"This financial catastrophe for American families is the direct result of a president and Congress addicted to spending our money, combined with a Federal Reserve compliantly enabling this addiction by printing more dollars," E.J. Antoni, research fellow in regional economics with The Heritage Foundation's Center for Data Analysis, said in a statement.
Antoni noted that the country is in a "vicious spiral" caused by Biden, his cabal in Congress, and the Fed.
Regarding illegal immigration, Jean-Pierre also claimed this week that red state governors are "causing chaos and confusion" by sending illegal aliens to sanctuary cities and Democratic enclaves.
"And that is not how we fix the system," she added. "If we want to fix the system, the president put forth, on his first day in the White House, a legislative solution, a comprehensive immigration reform to deal with these very issues."
It is not really a "reform" if you broadcast to the world that the border is open with practically no consequences for coming across it. That was Biden's policy even prior to taking office.
On the campaign trail, Biden said that illegal aliens who cross the border but don't commit other major crimes "should not be the focus of deportation." In other words, come here, avoid breaking even more laws, and you are welcome to stay.
On Biden's first day in office, he suspended deportations and paused former President Donald Trump's "Remain in Mexico" plan. Under Remain in Mexico, aliens reaching the southern border were kept in Mexico. Biden has released more than one million illegal immigrants into the U.S. interior, beholden only to their word to show up for an asylum court case. The total number is much higher once you factor in the number of illegals who evaded authorities altogether.
Now, Biden's veep Kamala Harris is pushing a "pathway to citizenship" - aka amnesty - for millions of illegal aliens while claiming the border is secure.
As it relates to abortion, the White House has refused to say when Biden believes a woman's "right" to kill their baby should be restricted. To that extent, they can't accept the science showing when life begins because it would end the issue once and for all. So Democrats ignore it so that they can use it as a political issue.
Beyond the science, this week, the president, a self-proclaimed "devout Catholic," also falsely claimed that the Church allows abortion in the case of rape and incest.
In reference to that notion, the president stated, "My generic point - and I happen to be a practicing Roman Catholic - my church doesn't even make that argument now."
A simple Google search reveals that statement to be a flat-out lie. The Catechism of the Church notes, "Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law."
There are more examples of Democrats' denial of reality - see "What Is A Woman?" - but on these three issues, it is apparent they are listening to writer Isaac Asimov.
