Joy Reid Claims Biden’s Garbled Speech Is Proof His Age Is Not A Factor – Brit Hume Disagrees | Eastern North Carolina Now

MSNBC host Joy Reid responded to President Joe Biden's second State of the Union address - which, according to a number of people watching, was riddled with slurred words and fumbles - by claiming it was proof positive that age was not a limiting factor for him. Fox News political analyst Brit Hume said the opposite.

Reid offered her take after the speech wrapped, saying, "There's a lot of anxiety in the Democratic political world about Biden's age. He shattered that tonight. He's obviously ... it's similar to what Nancy Pelosi is able to do. There's certain things that an experienced politician can do ... that an inexperienced politician, even a Kevin McCarthy, who's been around a long time, but is obviously not as ready for primetime as Joe Biden."

    WATCH:

Reid then suggested that Biden had drawn from his experience negotiating as a U.S. Senator, adding that he had negotiated personally with a lot of the people in the room and had drawn from that as president.

As Fox News' senior political analyst, Hume argued that Biden's speech had not been reassuring at all for those who might be concerned that age was getting the best of him.

    WATCH:

Noting that he had seen a number of State of the Union speeches, Hume continued, "And looking at this one and this man giving it, I think that there are two ways to look at this speech."

He went on to say that people could look at the content of the speech and whether or not it was based in fact and made an impact simply based on what was being said, or they could look at Biden and how he looked and sounded while delivering the speech.

"The other way is looking at this man, this 80-year-old man, the oldest president I guess ever, and whether he got through the speech well," Hume continued. "It seemed to me there was an awful lot of stumbling and slurring and words left out and so on. So the question becomes this: does someone sitting at home worried about the future of our country - perhaps suffering from inflation and the other maladies, worried about crime, worried about the border - look at this man delivering this speech tonight and say, 'I have confidence to give him four more years. He's the man who's led our nation so well, he's fully in command'?"

"Or do they have doubts?" he concluded. "Doubts that they may already harbor based on Afghanistan and certain other things. I have considerable doubt as to whether this was a confidence-inspiring speech tonight."

In the face of a known scandal finally being revealed by the corrupt Legacy Media regarding Joe Biden, his Mishandling of Classified Documents and his long history of Influence Peddling to our Foreign Adversaries for Personal and Familial Profit: What do you believe the outcome will be in America's Leftist practice of a Two Tiered Justice System?
Nothing will happen since the Democratic Socialist Left is corrupt to the core, and their non patriot ambitions are only the control of power.
Justice WILL be served, but NOT without a tremendous fight by those willing to save the Republic.
Why can't everyone else understand that the Left is special because we care so much for our own, especially the well being of the president and his family, especially Hunter.
What difference does it make; I am a product of a failed public education system.
