What Rush Limbaugh Didn't Say | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Rush Limbaugh said that for the first time he was ashamed of his country and his words made the top Drudge headline and generated a ton of comments from talking heads in Washington. 'Ashamed' isn't the word I'd use but I share Limbaugh's frustration with the endless lies told by members of both parties so that nothing ever changes but I believe he's being disingenuous. We've never been fooled by the lies the politicians throw at us. Rush is just too polite to say is that he's confounded by the stupidity of the American people who do fall for them.

    Over the past few decades, the insanity that has become our government has made me feel like Charlton Heston's character in the original Planet of the Apes when he shouted, "It's a madhouse! It's a madhouse!" Now after that line, I will probably be accused by the hacks and nimrods at MSNBC of using a racist reference code. These media clowns are part and parcel of the leftwing cabal that grew out of the 1960s determined to destroy the independence and spirit of what made this country great by mainstreaming political correctness.

    The egregious governmental excess and corruption during the Clinton administration failed to provoke voter outrage but since 2006 and the Democrat takeover of Congress, the lobotomizing of much of America is fairly obvious. How else can we explain the reelection of President Barack Obama, Senator Harry Reid, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Henry Waxman, Rep. Charlie Rangel and the other Democrats who continue to strip the taxpayers of their hard earned money to fund entitlements to the undeserving?

    How pray tell could Congress have even allowed tax cheats like Tim Geithner and Charlie Rangel to be respectively Secretary of the Treasurer and Chair of the Ways and Means Committee? How on earth could a bill drafted by a man in prison (Robert Creamer) have passed without anyone reading its over 2,000 pager? Nancy Pelosi insisted that we had to pass it to learn what was in it and now that we know Obamacare is a disaster; everyone who voted for it (like Rep. Engel, D-NY) is surprised. What a bunch of "idjits." This is sheer bureaucratic lunacy but the madness continues and becomes even more inconceivable.

    The media has become treasonous because it no longer cares about truth and what's good for the country if it harms the image of their lord and savior, President Obama. It aids and abets the enemy by not covering the growing threat by Al Qaeda in the Middle East. Our Ambassador to Libya was brutally murdered and dragged through the streets of Benghazi and our president took off for a campaign event in Las Vegas and he was reelected? I doubt seriously that the Obama voters ever heard of Benghazi because it never made as much news in the media as Kim Kardashian's wedding plans.

    The clowns will immediately demonize anyone seeking answers to why the State Department did not beef up security on 9/11 last year even though Ambassador Stevens had expressed extreme concern of jihadist activity there. According to the Washington Times article by Rep. Mike Kelly: "the State Department authorized the U.S. embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool's new Chevrolet Volts. The purchase was a part of the State Department's "Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe" initiative, which included hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on green program expenditures at various U.S. Embassies."

    When Sen. Rand Paul dared to question Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about that, he was vilified by her lapdogs in the press. Instead when Clinton retired she was applauded for her great achievements in office. What achievements? She's been totally useless and the State Department has become a global joke. That remark must make me a misogynist, right? Speaking of misogynism, the Democrats brought out feminist activist Sandra Fluke to rant about the Republican 'War on Women' and stupid women bought it ignoring the fact that this administration has been the most lethal to women's economic lives. The 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote but couldn't guarantee that all of us knew how to think. Ms. Fluke is now is campaigning to have the military accept transsexual recruits but that's no surprise because liberals loathe the military.

    Outgoing Defense secretary Leon Panetta has unilaterally issued a directive stating that the U.S. military will now extend certain benefits to unmarried domestic partners that were formerly reserved for married couples-but will only do so if the domestic partners certify in writing to the Department of Defense that they are of the same sex.

    Aah - this Democrat Party is constantly in social engineering mode, far more interested in changing our traditional mores than in actual civil governance. All one has to do is look at the prospective legislation by Congressional members to learn what they're really up to.

    Democrats Sen. Lautenberg (NJ) and Rep. Barbara Lee (CA) are introducing sex-education legislation limiting funding for "ineffective" abstinence-only programs. House Democrats have offered a bill to create a "diplomatic envoy" to Iran to try to "convince that country to abandon its nuclear ambitions." This came right after an Islamic cleric said he was paid by Iran to kill Nigerian leaders.

    Democrats routinely legislate against the second amendment to take guns from law abiding citizens. Instead they create zero gun areas which attract crazed suicidal killers.

    Yet all the Democrat controlled cities where gun control laws are the strongest are also the ones with the highest crime rates. Does this make any difference to the average voter who reelects them ad nauseum?

    The aforementioned progressive, Robert Creamer, husband of Rep. Jan Schakowsky, wrote a book, Stand Up Straight! which showed how the Democrat Party could win a permanent majority in Congress by doing the following:

    1. passing a national health care bill, thereby turning more people into wards of an ever-expanding government, and of the party that works to grow government;
    2. and giving amnesty to all illegal immigrants, thereby creating, virtually overnight, a large new constituency of Democratic voters...

    In the book, Creamer, a Saul Alinsky disciple said, "we must not just generate understanding, but emotion-fear, revulsion, anger, disgust."

    This is exactly what President Obama is doing now while he tries to scare us about what will happen if we dare to go through with the sequester cuts he initiated. Our country is going to perdition but rather then being ashamed, we should all be furious. I do not understand why any practicing Catholic would vote for the party of death or why any Jew would vote for a party that refuses to support Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East.

    But what I find most puzzling is the incongruity of the poor black supporters of President Obama who still identify with him because he's black. He has absolutely nothing in common with their black experience because he has never had one. He was raised by leftwing whites as a child of privilege and had the best education possible.

    None of Obama's policies have improved the black community and in fact they have assured its continual dependency on a government check. He and Michele are 1% millionaires who travel around the globe in grandeur enjoying an unbelievably opulent lifestyle the poor will never know.

    Oh wait. Perhaps, President Obama and Michele do have something in common with the poor voters. They both owe their lifestyles to the hapless taxpayers.
