‘Watch How Bad It Gets’: 50 Cent Says Los Angeles Is ‘Finished’ | Eastern North Carolina Now

If you think Los Angeles is bad now, just wait.

Sure, drug addicts are shooting up on the streets, aggressive homeless people are everywhere, and violent crime is soaring. But rapper 50 Cent says the worst is yet to come.

50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) took to Instagram to post a video clip of a news report about a federal judge's decision that holding inmates until they can pay cash bail is a violation of their constitutional rights.

"Starting at midnight tonight, the sheriff's department will no longer detain people for crimes such as theft, shoplifting, drug use, vandalism, battery, and a whole host of other non-serious, non-violent crimes that affect the quality of life of people here in Los Angeles County," Deputy District Attorney John McKinney says in the clip.

The news anchor then says: "LA Deputy DA John McKinney explains that due to Judge Lawrence Riff's ruling, many people arrested will be released immediately without having to pay bail before their arraignment."

McKinney follows, saying: "Judge Riff made the point of saying that he implored California officials like the sheriff, the chief of police, the district attorney, the city attorney, he implored them to testify to explain why he shouldn't issue this order, and he was surprised when no one stood up to challenge it."

"No one challenged it, not LAPD Chief Michael Moore, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna, or District Attorney George Gascon," McKinney says.

Jackson's comments were brief. "LA is finished watch how bad it gets out there. SMH," he posted, which is shorthand for "shaking my head." The rapper included an emoji of googly eyes.

During the height of the COVID pandemic, Los Angeles County did away with cash bail to ease overcrowding in jails. Since then, the crime rate has soared. In the downtown area in 2022, there was a 25% rise in violent crime, such as rape, compared to 2019, USA Today reports.

According to the paper's data, violent crime in one neighborhood, Rancho Park, rose 114% between 2019 and 2022.

LA police say mental illness, rampant drug use, and homelessness are to blame.

"Every day, people out in the neighborhoods or community, people working in local businesses, have been victimized, whether by assaults or armed robberies. It's pretty commonplace," Councilwoman Traci Park told USA Today.

A recent study published by the district attorney of Yolo County, which encompasses part of Sacramento and parts west, determined that zero bail policies have "horrific" effects on public safety.

"I mean, we have more people being shot at, stabbed, assaulted, robbed, beaten. These are real victims - and the numbers are staggering under zero bail," Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig told Fox News Digital.

Judge Riff's ruling will stay in place for 60 days while LA city and county work to develop a "constitutionally sound, effective, concrete" plan to deal with those arrested for misdemeanors.

Jackson is, of course, correct. It's just going to get worse. Punishment deters crime. Lack of punishment encourages crime. Simple.

It has been far too many years since the Woke theology interlaced its canons within the fabric of the Indoctrination Realm, so it is nigh time to ask: Does this Representative Republic continue, as a functioning society of a self-governed people, by contending with the unusual, self absorbed dictates of the Woke, and their vast array of Victimhood scenarios?
Yes, the Religion of Woke must continue; there are so many groups of underprivileged, underserved, a direct result of unrelenting Inequity; they deserve everything.
No; the Woke fools must be toppled from their self-anointed pedestal; a functioning society of a good Constitutional people cannot withstand this level of "existential" favoritism as it exists now.
I just observe; with this thoughtful observation: What will happen "when the Vikings are breeching our walls;" how do the Woke react?
