    Major local leaders have endorsed military veteran and business leader Laurie Buckhout for Congress.

    Sandy Roberson, Brent Roberson, Billy Strickland, and Brad Murphy received a combined 63.9% of the Congressional primary vote in 2022. All four have officially endorsed Laurie Buckhout for Congress. "I want to thank Sandy, Brad, Brent, and Billy for putting their trust in me to lead North Carolina's first Congressional District. They know I'm beholden to no one but the people of northeastern North Carolina," said Laurie Buckhout.
