‘We Will Lose Our Republic’: Texas Congressman Says Border Crisis Is Existential Threat | Eastern North Carolina Now

QUEMADO, TX     A Texas congressman says the ongoing border crisis poses an existential threat to the United States of America, and that the country is putting itself at risk of a major terrorist attack due to its failure to keep track of migrants entering the country.

"We will lose our republic if we do not secure this border," Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) told The Daily Wire while attending the Take Our Border Back rally in Quemado, Texas. "If we continue - 300,000 in December, 8 million in three years of the Biden administration - that's more than the population of Ohio, the seventh largest state. If that continues we will lose our republic."

Self warned that the Biden administration has opened America up to significant national security threats by neglecting border enforcement.

"With the number of military-aged males that we've let come across the border, we've set ourselves up for an October 7th attack inside the interior of the United States," Self stated before adding, "I ask everybody to be very aware that we have no idea who most of these people are."

Self's comments to The Daily Wire came at the Take Our Border Back Convoy, where hundreds of concerned Americans rallied in support of securing the border in the small town outside of Eagle Pass.

Self praised Americans who came to voice concerns about the open border, reaffirming his support of Governor Greg Abbott, who has used the Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas National Guard to secure portions of the border.

"Yes Governor Abbott can do what he's doing, yes 24 other governors can support him," Self said, "but we need the voice of the American people to be loud."

"The open border is not a mistake, it is a plan," Self said, arguing that the whole country is impacted. "There are no counties and states that are not border counties and states. It's everywhere. You're seeing the New York mayor say he can't take anymore - well he doesn't have a percentage of what we have in Texas today."

The Biden administration and Abbott became embroiled in a feud over Shelby Park in Eagle Pass in recent weeks after Texas authorities defied a demand from the Biden administration to allow Border Patrol to retake control of the park, instead continuing to build razor wire barriers to deter illegal border crossings.

Under the Biden administration, the United States has faced an unprecedented surge of illegal aliens, with over 10 million crossing the border. Cities across the country, ranging from New York to Chicago, have struggled to manage the rapid surge of migrants, with both taking drastic measures to feed and house those who've crossed into the United States.

Understanding that there are two firm positions concerning the Open Border Crises, but many realties regarding its current, and, or projected real impacts to the functioning, sustainability of this Constitutional Republic: What position below best represents what you know to be true regarding this impactful policy?
The United States' must continue the Executive initiative of Open Borders until a Democratic Congress can codify full Demographic Inclusion by keeping the Biden /Harris Open Borders policy in place.
Our United States' borders are sovereign just as are our self-governed citizens, where borders must be maintained, monitored and defended, which is the position of core Republicans.
I am in favor of Open Borders to make my America more of a global community; however, the federal government must now fix problems that "Red State" governors have caused in our cities.
I do NOT favor the Democratic Socialists' disruption of the cultural fabric of my Representative Republic, and there will be Treasonous Hell to Pay when the certain calamity begins in earnest.

Should the Institutionalized Corruption of the Biden /Harris Administration, in this separate instance the Open Border Policy of our Sovereign Southern Border, be not only tolerated, but sanctioned by the raising of local spending by local politicians to pay for these now visible and known effects of rampant, and out-of-control Illegal Immigration?
Yes, it is a kind thing to do, and a way that our county, our state can aid in this tremendous effort toward local federal foreign aid; and now, thankfully, in great abundance.
No, our Constitutional Republic WILL NOT continue to exist, as our United States of America, if we do not control our sovereign borders, to protect our citizens, to keep them solvent and safe.
I only consider what is topical and popular since my friends, too, only care to do the same.
