Enough Already! | Eastern North Carolina Now

    George Zimmerman may be the murderer of a fine young upstanding Black man, Trayvon Martin, or he may be the perfect foil for the racist race-baiters and poverty pimps; however, either way, I simply don't give a "rat's ass." Enough already.

    If, per chance, George Zimmerman walks from whatever justice is perceived by some to be his due, I will not care. If he is found guilty by a jury of his peers ... ditto!

    In most states, Zimmerman would have a pretty tough time getting off "Scott free," but not in Florida. Florida has the "Stand Your Ground" basis for one's self defense, which allows one to use whatever force necessary to defend oneself. George Zimmerman, a mostly Hispanic man with a Jewish sir-name, has been accused early and often by the race-baiters of racial hatred to lend to this unfortunate affair an air of racism, and thus fan the flames that this was a murder and not self-defense, and this is not lost on a media that tends to know the ease of constant distraction.

    Any matter of racism is one of the few issues that a great many of today's mainstream media feel competent in reporting on, so that sympathy instilled within many, including a Candidate Obama, who felt so called to remark, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon," has fueled the passions of those so disposed to have this impetuous predilection toward all issues race based.

    The Candidate, in his quest for a second term continued, "I think about my own kids, and I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this and everybody pulls together – federal, state and local – to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened."

    It would be comforting to all thinking Americans if the Candidate cared as much about investigating the Benghazi terrorist attack on American soil, and the subsequent cover-up of that attack.

    When the President of the United States, with his handpicked Justice Department Dept. becomes embroiled in what is essentially a local matter, a sympathetic lapdog media will, and did work in concert with this Candidate's ambition for a racial divide at election time to whip up his minions and true believers of whatever shred of "Hope and Change" that might yet still reside in their limited capacity to develop real perspective in this complicated world.

    As early as today, Thursday, July 11, 2013, we may yet discover George Zimmerman's verdict, and whether he is found guilty or innocent, I do not care one tiny bit, and, furthermore, unless there is some great avalanche of stupid that should result from that verdict, and confirm what I already know about some of my fellow Man, I will remain silent here in BCN.
