JD Vance confronts Europe on their censorship of free speech to their face | Eastern North Carolina Now

speaking to Security Conference in Munich

ENCNow

Vice President J.D. Vance used his speech at the Security Conference in Munich to chastise the European Union on the growing censorship of free speech there. Vance reminded them that freedom of speech is essential to democracy and that sometimes attacks on democracy come from within..  He called Europe's turn away from democracy and toward censorship "shocking."

"We must do more than talk about democratic values; we must live them," Vance declared as he cited cancellation of a European election and threats to cancel another as well as laws censoring the speech of voters.   Some European countries have used totalitarian "hate speech" laws to suppress free speech, while France and Germany have even criminalized average citizens criticism of politicians.  Vance compared these laws with communist practices during the Cold War.

Meanwhile, it has developed that the EU Commission, its top leadership which is unelected, diverted 130 million euros to pay to friendly media to influence last year's EU parliament election.

In his speech, Vance also blasted European leaders for not allowing the public to vote on their open border policies. There have been demands, for example. in France for years for a voter refrrendum on that subject but Macron refuses, even though he is now calling for mulitple referenda on more minor matters.

The globalists in Europe are using their censorship tools against those who oppose illegal immigration. In the EU parliament itself, MEP's from Romania, Italy, and Belgium have had to face formal complaints for their comments on illegal immigration. In France, a member of the French Senate was criminally charged with "hate speech" for posting on social media that "immigration kills" after an illegal alien brutally murdered a young French girl.

"Hate Speech" laws are promulgated by totalitarians who hate FREE speech.

Totalitarians all operate the same way, whether they be communists, nazis, or globalists. J.D. Vance is standing up against totalitarianism by fighting for free speech and free elections. The new nazis are those who want to supress free speech and ban media, censor both voters and the media, and talk openly about banning their political opponents. In the German election, the new nazis would be the Greens and Social Democrats. Josef Goebbels and the current Social Democrats and Greens think the same way on censorship of their political opponents.

It is great to see J. D. Vance standing strong for democracy and against censorship. It is disgustinig that the Biden USAID spend hundreds of millions or more of our taxpayer dollars pushing censorship.
