Beaufort County RINO’s and Democrats Increase Spending

BY: HOOD RICHARDSON

By now most of us have figured out that President Trump is able and capable of managing most issues into win-win situations. That is, whatever his adversaries do, he will maintain an advantageous position. Trump is very good at this game. Most people are so myopic (straight line) in their thinking process they are not able to examine the multitude of alternatives that are in front of them in any given situation.

The Democrats and RINO’s (Republicans In Name Only) have vastly overplayed their hand. The “Big Beautiful Bill” has a lot of things in it that conservative Republicans want. One thing the “bill” does is to provide the opportunity to reset “Obama Care”. This program of socialized medicine is slowly but surely sucking the life out of the economy and taxpayers. It is very expensive. All other countries that have socialized medicine provide it at much lower costs than we do. It is doubtful we can pay off our national debt if we continue the present system of “Obama Care”.

The “Big Beautiful Bill” makes huge reductions in the subsidies the US Government pays. It is going to severely upset about half the population. That is what Trump is aiming for, because these are the same people who will support re-engineering our medical system so those with lower incomes will be able to afford care. Re-engineering means costs come down and a lot of people on the gravy train will come down too. There are very few people riding the gravy train with the vast majority of us looking for affordable care.

The Democrats thought they had a plan to save socialized medicine (Obama Care). They would shut the government down by not voting for the resolution to continue spending at the present rate. Their deal would be that they would vote to keep government open provided “Obama Care” continues with no changes. Weak leaders would go along with this. Trump wants to cut the size of government in terms of both employees, agencies and programs. Trump realized not having the non-essential part of government operating fit his goal perfectly. The vast majority of Americans will never miss the non-essential parts of government that are shut down.

The punishment for the Democrats will be for government employees not to get backpay. Employees probably expect back pay because every president and congress has given backpay when the government shuts down. Neither congress nor the president has to do that. If government employees do not get backpay the Democrats will be blamed because it was their vote that shut the government down.

Trump’s strategy has corralled the RINO’s. Should a RINO faction revolt and vote with the Democrats to increase spending, they will have to face the MAGA voters in their next election. Those primary elections would be bloody. Voting to override Trump and increase spending will provide Trump with the opportunity to cleanse the Republican Party of RINO’s in both the House and Senate. Trump wins again.

All of this is why the government shut down may last much longer than a few months. How will this affect state and county budgets? Most governments expect the shutdown to be very short with the federal government going back and picking up county and state spending they did to continue certain federal programs. Among these are free food programs.

Beaufort County Commissioners voted at the October meeting to continue funding federal programs. There was no discussion about the amounts of money involved. However, they did say the issue would be raised at the November meeting. Beaufort County taxpayers should be very concerned about this, as yet, unknown expense. There is a high risk that this money will not be paid back.

Welfare and free food are controversial issues among those who work for a living. There are multiple free food programs. Government at the state and county levels has built up factions that have become dependent on the handout. Randy Walker and his fellow liberals say they do not want to see old people be hungry. There is no doubt there are a few legitimately hungry people who need assistance. However, if we are not careful with these handouts, all of us could become hungry.

Thanks to the Democrats' Schumer shutdown, money for the Food Stamp program is supposed to run out at the end of this month. Are the spendthrifts on our county commission going to use local tax money to subsidize Food Stamps????

According to this article, since Food Stamps are fully federally funded, there is no legal mechanism that would allow a state or local government to be reimbursed if they put their own money into the Food Stamp program.

Van Zant: In the Beaufort County GOP executive meetings much respect is given to those that defile the Republican Party Platform, but that has been going on for a long time, and will continue as long as RINOS are greatly involved in the local party.

“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

The best term I have heard for these longtime liberal Democrats who switched to Republican on paper to pull the wool over voters eyes like Waters and Walker is "Undocumented Democrats" although the term "Democrats in Drag" also resonates.

Stan: People are telling me that the local Republican leadership calls on the Imposter Republican officeholders to give reports while ignoring the other officeholders as much as possible. What you are saying about the BC GOP gets a lot of verification by others in those meetings.

Van Zant: And both Imposter Republicans, "Liberals with Rs beside their names," a.k.a RINOs, are coddled by the far too many RINOs, and RINO Whisperer's in the Beaufort County GOP.
