Many people must be wondering about what is going on inside the Beaufort County Republican Party. Queen Garris and her hangers-on have been collecting money and spending it without the approval of the Beaufort County Republican Executive Committee. They have spent it to support candidates who are not approved by the Executive Committee. This includes using the money to go after Republicans they do not like.
Not only me but no other member of the Executive Committee has been allowed to even ask a question during Executive Committee meetings during the past year. No member of the Executive Committee is allowed to speak without the prior vetting by her secret “Victory Committee”. No conservative Republican member of the Executive Committee has been recognized to speak or ask a question since the new Executive committee was elected at the County Convention during March of 2025.
This is what scares the Queen. Once an Executive Committee member is recognized and raises the moral issue of the fraudulent use of Republican Party funds, the door is open for a full investigation. There are issues of who will be paying the money back to the Beaufort County Republican Party. What about the treasurer writing checks without the approval of the Executive Committee? Queen Garris has no choice but to keep this from getting to the State Party in Raleigh. Raleigh Republicans know about this but are reluctant to act because they do not want to face the public. They are hunkered down hoping this will either go away or the local Republicans will get things resolved.
What is the Beaufort County Republican Executive Committee any way? Within the rules of operating the Republican Party, each county has an executive committee. This committee is elected by party members every two years at a county convention of Republicans. A system of county voting precincts meets and elects delegates to the county convention. The number of delegates is based on the number of Republicans in the precinct. Beaufort County has 21 precincts. A County Convention is held each year. During odd numbered years the convention elects a party chairman and an executive committee.
The operations of the Beaufort County Republican Party are delegated to the Chairman and the Executive Committee by the convention. The Chairman, Queen Garris, carries out the operations of the Republican Party with the approval and consent of the Executive Committee. Here is where the corruption comes in. Queen Garris got a new Executive Committee that she does not like at the 2025 convention. She and her crony’s solution to the Executive Committee becoming more conservative is to ignore it and do as she pleases. That is why no new business or old business is taken up at Executive Committee meetings.
The purpose of the Republican Party Rules, called the “Plan of Organization”, calls for the Executive Committee to oversee the Chairman in order to provide a system of checks and balances. This system is supposed to promote honesty and fair play for all Republicans. This system, like all contracts, is only as good as the people carrying it out. The public expects honesty. That is why we use this system to run the Republican Party. This is not unique to the Republican Party. The Democrat Party has a parallel system. However, their party has become corrupt because of the people who administer their system. Ours, the Republican Party, will suffer the same fate if we do not put people of honor in leadership roles.
Queen Garris and her elusive and secret “Victory Committee” would have got away with their RINO (Republican In Name Only) tactics if not for the Conservative Club of which I am the leader. Therefore, I am the bad guy along with the rest of the Club. We clearly saw the support Queen Garris gave to liberals with the Republican Party actively campaigning against conservative Republicans.
Now comes Queen Garris’s shot to the other foot. When it became clear, after the second time she summoned the police to remove me from meetings, that the police would not do her bidding, she and her close advisor, the defeated Representative Keith Kidwell, decided that if the Executive Committee meeting were held at his home, they could use the private property trespassing laws to have me removed. They called for an Executive Committee meeting to be held at the same time as the Conservative Club meeting at the defeated Representative Kidwell’s residence. This is the moral equivalent of an illegal meeting. This meeting was not approved by the Executive Committee. That meeting is Thursday March 19 at 6:00 PM. We have moved the Conservative Club meeting to Wednesday March 18 at 6:00 PM.
The secret and elusive “Victory Committee” was never approved by this Executive Committee. For Queen Garris to pretend otherwise is false.
The defeated Representative Keith Kidwell got hit with the ricochet bullet Queen Carolyn Garris shot herself in the foot with when he volunteered to have the Executive Committee meeting on his private property. He used the “Victory Committee” to avoid the supervision of himself when he was Republican Party Chairman. It was just as murky and muddy then as it now. Many voters showed in the primary elections that they are not totally blind by questionable politics when they replaced him.

I've been pondering the attack on Stacey Davis: There is the Cheeseman, Garris, Kidwell and possible Victory Committee plot for favors part. Lord knows a Victory Committee report to the Executive Committee is long overdue. I know some of the Executive Committee members have important questions for them. They've got a lot of explaining to do across the board. They need to start with this and other bizarre attacks on individuals and then the unauthorized spending.
The other part to this is some of the Republican School Board members themselves, led by Ms. Walker. This trail extends to the County Commission and her liberal husband, too. The ultra-liberal Walkers have been and are becoming even more active in a multitude of Republican Party primary races. I hear Mr. Hodges has changed his registration from Democrat to Republican. I checked. It's true. This is connected to some not-so-secret discussions among RINO school board members that have been overheard. On the other hand, Ms. Carolyn and Mr. Randy are up for re-election in two years themselves. Also, Mr. Dority says he is no longer on the Victory Committee but hangs around as a consultant. Um, um, and Um. Beaufort County conservatives are being assaulted on multiple fronts from non-Democrats. It is disgusting when the local Republican Party provides a staging area for ultra-liberals like Carolyn and Randy Walker to launch their attacks on conservatives. I believe the Victory Committee is hoping to capitalize on the Walker scheming, but I suspect both groups have different ultimate plans for School District 5. What both groups agree on is to get rid of conservative Stacey Davis. Conservatives need to rally around Ms. Davis. She has been a strong leader for District 5 and for all of Beaufort County. Like vampires, the schemers need to be forced into the sunlight. |

The special interest money spent in District 79 primary race is a tremendous red flag. It was a very big factor in the Kidwell loss. Probably the biggest factor. Not the only factor though.
A lot of people have been wondering why such a high priority has been put on controlling the Beaufort County GOP. Why did Kidwell work so hard with Ms. Garris to make the party an exclusive party? And maybe that was actually Ms. Garris helping Kidwell with the execution of that task. I suppose they transformed the local party into a political machine, but the price was the destruction of the party in its traditional role. Even bigger than that was the alienation of a group of conservatives that actually appreciated Kidwell's record in Raleigh but felt attacked by his actions at home. Some of that group still voted for Kidwell in the primary - others did not. The other thing was the simultaneous public attack by Kidwell and Garris on Stacey Davis. What was that about? Why were they involved at all? Remember Superintendent Cheeseman immediately released a redacted tape to the press before he even spoke with the Board of Education. In fact, I've found that the Board of Education to this day has never acted on the situation. They finally got to see the unredacted tape well after the fact. That is strange to say the least. In fact, I know several people involved that say this unilateral action by the Superintendent resembles a set up more than anything else. Why did Kidwell and Garris jump into this so quickly? Is there some connection with Cheeseman? Could it be so mundane as a potential political appointment favor to a Victory Committee faction? Perhaps both? One has to wonder. Is it something along this line or something else? Finally, is it something rotten or is it just coincidentally stupid? So many negative things going on in the local Republican Party creates severe weaknesses. |

CV: Ahh, she's controlled opposition; that is VERY interesting. She also seems to speak with an "ebonics" flair....very weird. She's definitely trying to play victim BUT.....I think she let a cat outta the bag when talking about the city government going full corporate.
To be honest, it's already corporate......people are just now waking up to it. |

John "Sassyattorney" is the wife of the former city manager who beat a hasty retreat when the Sadler machine fell in the last election. From my understanding, she has a law license but does not actually practice law. She has a huge chip on her shoulder over her husband losing the city manager position which paid a nice salary. She resents that GOP involvement in the election that brought down the Sadler machine.

Had an interesting conversation with a cousin of mine this weekend; she, too, is aware of the bizarro nature that encompasses our community. She informed me of a local attorney who is taking some interesting points on to TikTok platform and establishing commentary on the platform.
"SassyAttorney" made two comments, in one of her videos, that I agreed with: 1. Those speaking FOR the County GOP all sound like a bunch of fruit loops. Given what we know and have been able to piece together....I don't think the ol' girl's too far off on that one. 2. Many of those who are talking about "unity" and uncovering the extent of "Sadlergate" aren't really doing that; they're creating theater to hide the fact of them working to corporatise everything. Again.....none of this is tin-foil hat crap that Carmen Sandiago has to figure out; these are points being brought up based off of public knowledge. |

I've been researching that executive committee meeting at the private residence last week. According to my reports, the "leadership" is defending the use of the "Victory Committee" and has relegated the actual Executive Committee" to the role of worker bees. Yes, they are out of sync with the actual Republican Party Plan of organization in a very big way.
What do you get when someone allows themselves to be both neutered and lobotomized? Answer: The Beaufort County Republican Party Executive Committee. What do you get when ruling power has been set up by a few persons? An unauthorized oligarchy. That is what has become of the Beaufort County Republican Party. |

There are terms for sleazy politicians like the Walkers and their ilk, like Democrats in Drag, Undocumented Democrats, Biden Republicans, or just RINOs. We need to replace them with real Republicans in 2028. With "Republicans" like the Waklers, who even needs Democrats?
