Political Sociopath
BY: HOOD RICHARDSON
Much has been said and is being said about Republican Party loyalty and disloyalty. Most of these accusations are coming from inside the leadership of the Beaufort County Republican Party. This is a sad condition because the duty of the leadership is to find ways for the various factions to coexist and to elect not just Republicans but honorable Republicans.
There is a vast difference in every way between those who are elected in a public election and those who volunteer to run political party operations. A publicly elected official has duties and obligations that are defined by written laws passed by elected bodies. These duties and obligations to the public are enforceable by our system of courts. The benefits of these duties and laws apply to every person whether they voted or did not vote.
Political party leaders (officers of the party, members of the various committees, precinct chairmen, etc.) are not elected as a result of any action by a legislative body. These party leaders hold no position or authority over, or beholden to, anyone other than those who are registered to vote as a volunteer member of a particular political party. These volunteer political leaders pledge their personal character and integrity to all of the registered members of that particular political party. Political party leaders have no legislative, judicial or administrative authority over any elected official; even those who are elected from their party.
My conflict with the Beaufort County Republican party has gone on for 30 years. I was elected to the Beaufort County Commission in 1996. Within three months I was told by the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Beaufort County Republican Party that my Commissioner votes would be as instructed by him. I told him and his Vice Chairman what they could kiss and walked out. A campaign about what a bad person I am started the next week and has gone on to this day. Again, I say, political party leaders have no authority to tell elected officials how to vote or dictate policy. It is a part of my, and any other elected official’s, obligation to the public not to allow myself to become corrupt this way.
Historically there have been party leaders who have built very effective political machines. The best known of these are the Daily Machine in Chicago and several political machines in New York City. The State of Illinois and New York suffer from these corruptions to this day.
One of the fallacies in politics is that all persons who present themselves for election have identical beliefs, are entirely honest to a fault, wish to represent the public interest without favor to any person or thing, know (have read) and believe the principles of the Constitution and have an unimpaired normal psychology and character.
We have many elected officials who exhibit the characteristics presented in the above paragraph. We also have many who fail miserably.
A small group has taken over the Beaufort County Republican Party and operate a campaign of favoritism to those who are willing to support liberal policies. This group thoroughly dislikes conservatives and regularly attacks us using the Beaufort County Republican Party machinery (money, Republican image, and organization).
Commissioner Stan Deatherage and I became aware the Beaufort County Republican Party was favoring liberals in elections and working against conservatives several years ago. Proof of this is when two Republicans join with two Democrats to control Beaufort County Policy. Fake Frankie Waters refused to sign a party platform loyalty pledge the first time he ran for Commissioner. The party pledge has not been offered since. Over the years Fake Frankie Waters, Gary Brinn, Ron Buzzeo, Jay McRoy, Al Klemm, and Jerry Evons formed alliances with two Democrats to grow the size of Beaufort County Government from about 290 employees to more than 400 while our population shrank. They shut down the Aurora School. They secretly raised taxes last year. They voted for more consolidation of schools with the new Eastern Elementary School when we should be building smaller neighborhood schools. They refuse to examine our budget for cost savings. High taxes in Beaufort County are caused by Fake Frankie Waters, RINO Randy Walker and the Beaufort County Republican Party.
The present Beaufort County Republican Party leadership actively supports liberal Commissioner candidates while they attack conservative Commissioners Stan Deatherage and Hood Richardson. They go to the polls on election day and influence voters by identifying what they call “true or real Republicans”.
There is an effort to say that Commissioner Stan Deatherage and I are disloyal because we do not like this behavior. I have no problem with stating this truth. Voters need to be suspicious of any candidates identified by anyone as being “true or real Republicans”. My advice is that you do not vote for any Commissioner candidate endorsed by the Beaufort County Republican Party as being the “true or real Republican”. Vote for the other Republican Commissioner candidates.
Take note that these complaints are not about the Republican slate of candidates as a whole. These complaints apply to the limited voting system used by Beaufort County. The two people who are working to change the limited voting system are Hood Richardson and Stan Deatherage. Those who are paying lip service are the leadership of the Beaufort County Republican Party and the elected RINO Commissioners. Both the Democrat and Republican parties enjoy the liberal benefits of these corrupt practices.
In order to get a grasp on the situation within the Beaufort County Republican Party you should know the definition of sociopath. Here is one definition taken from the internet: “This condition involves a long-term pattern of breaking rules, ignoring the rights of others and showing no regret or remorse”.

“TruthBeTold” and “Rational Observer” I believe that some good old-fashioned research may do wonders for the both of you. You may also want to change your aliases, as they are false representations of your character based on the evidence (comments) you have posted. Neither of you comes off as trustworthy or rational. With enough time and consideration, you might have a chance at being as perceptive as you think you are.

Truth Whatever: If I am not liberal enough for your RINO sensibilities, then that is just too bad. I serve at the behest of my conservative constituents, most of whom cannot stomach Fake Republicans, of which I am the antithesis.

VZ: I think it's safe to say that the GOP, as a whole, is up s*** creek without a paddle or a trolling motor. Anyone with a brain knows this but, for some reason, the BOCO GOP 'luminati cowers when intelligent discussion/debate arises from the informed public.
With that being said, there are two factions of the "informed public"; 1. Those who take what they're told by their preferred fakestream TV "News" affiliate as Gospel. 2. Those who dig, read between the lines and question everything that comes across their radar. I think that if the 'luminati where to hold an unscripted town hall, they'd get their asses handed to them by the informed public that ain't scared to ask hard questions. I know, for a fact, that dudes like Kidwell, for example, wouldn't last five minutes with the right crowd. They'd started accusing the smart ones as being "democrat plants", try to talk louder than everyone else and storm out of the room. The bad actors are getting very nervous; they're on fumes. |

TBT: There's one thing about it: I'm not Stan and you're not Truth. The dishonest gaslighting going on from the local RINOs is now reaching incredible levels of ridiculousness. It's obvious that you folks are willing to tell any lie that has any chance of sticking with an ignorant person. My advice to people is, if you do not know check it out yourself.
One thing to do is go to the NC State Board of Elections website and do a voter search. You'll see Hood Richardson year after year in a straight unbroken stream as a Republican all the way until the list stops at 1992. Then look up Frank Waters. He was a Democrat until 2012 when he changed in order to run as a Republican for the County Commission. Randy Walker was a Democrat even longer. Remember he first ran for the County Commission as a Democrat and lost. Then he changed party affiliation, started attending Conservative Club meetings, and got the Conservative Club to help him get elected. Upon his election, he burned all bridges with real Republicans and has governed as the liberal Republican we see today. I doubt it would do any good, but if I were Conservative Club members I would send the dude a bill. Just know this. These people on a mission against Conservatives will do or say anything to accomplish their goal. Please do your own research and do not trust these utterly despicable people. |

VanZant/Stan Deatherage, Hood Richardson. It is a shame you keep talking this trash. Focus on what you were elected to do and stop harassing folks online. I am sure some screenshots could clear up or shut up some folks. It's time for change in Beaufort County, and we see it coming. Let's put Beaufort County, our state, and nation first. Priorities, boys, priorities. Quit wasting our time.

Van Zant: Hood began serving on the Beaufort County Commission with me as a fellow Republican in 1996. Since then, Commissioner Richardson has consistently acted and voted as a conservative Republican since that time. This is why I trust him to be the "Real Republican," along with myself, in every room I occupy.
This is what I know about The Hood, and this is how I judge The Hood. |
|
These clapping seal RINOs are hilarious. All I know is Hood Richardson has been a Republican way, way, way longer than Randy Walker and Frank Waters.

Mr. Richardson, what is the lie. Did I miss another party change? Was it twelve times not 11? If so you have my apologies.
