The German media is calling it a "blue earthquake" for the party color of the AfD.
Germany's populist nationalist anti-immigration right Alternativ fur Deutschland (AfD) has scored a major win in the German state election in Saxony-Anhalt. The AfD finished almost 30 points ahead of its nearest rivel, the traditional conservative Christian Democrats (CDU), which led the outgoing state government. No other party finished in double digits.
A second anti-immigration party, this one of the left, also entered the state Landtag (parliament) for the first time.. The Block Sahra Wagenkrecht (BSW) is led by the former floor leader in the federal Bundestag of the Left Party, who broke with that party over her opposition to mass migration, "woke" cultural issues, and climate alarmism. On economic issues, however, the BSW is a party of the left.
Exit polls show that AfD has massively gained the youth vote and energized citizens who usually do not vote.
With 84% of the vote counted, AfD leads with 46.2%, followerf by the CDU at 16.3%. The AfD has more than doubled its vote from the last state election when it received 19.8%.. The CDU, which received 36.9% in the last election, however, has lost more than half of its vote.
The populist anti-immigration left BSW is running in its first election on the state level in Saxony-Anhalt, is receiving 5.2% of the vote.
Among other parties crossing the 5% threshold to win seats, the Left Party (former East German Communist Party) is on 8.2%, down almost 3 points from the last election, while the Social Democrats and Greens made very slight gains to 8.7%l each.
While the final seat allocation is unknown, AfD is on the knife edge of gaining a majority by itself. If it does not, coalition building could get interesting. One possibility is a right / left populist alliance between the AfD and BSW. another is a conservative alliance between AfD and CDU. The national CDU leadership is strongly opposed to an alliance with the AfD but local CDU leaders have been vocal that they prefer that alliance to the alternative which would include teaming up with the ex-communist Left Party. A grab bag coalition of all the other parties is the last possibility.

Two other German states will vote for their state elections later this month, Mecklenburg-Lower Pomerania and the state of Berlin. AfD also holds a commanding lead in the polls in the former.
The AfD is presently the main opposition party in the federal Bundestag. The CDU leads the national government in an odd couple coalition with the Social Democrats. The AfD made major gains in two prior state elections this year, and has a wide lead in the polls for the upcoming Mecklenburg state election later this month. While the AfD is best known for its opposition to mass migration and corresponding support of mass deportation (called re-migration in Europe), it also opposes German and EU green energy politices, and supports regaining sovereignty from the EU.
Saxony-Anhalt was created as a state after World War II. It consists of the former Duchy of Anhalt plus the old Prussian province of Saxony, that had been a part of the Kingdom of Saxony, but ceded to Prussia in a peace treaty during the Napoleonic Wars.

In the last Michigan primary, two members of the same family were cheated out of their votes on election day by someone voting in their name by mail. Both say they have never in their lives voted by absentee. Some systems are prone to election fraud. Mail-in voting is one of them. Former Democrat President Jimmy Carter was an expert on election s systems and his Federal Election Reform Commission recommended LESS mail-in voting because around the world, it is the system MOAST prone to fraud.. Carter knew a whole lot more about this subject than Blowhard Bob.
Here we have the latest example, in Germany. The difference between election day results and mail-in results does not even come close to passing the smell test. The German Supreme Court was sies on banning electronic voting machines and requiring paper ballots. Now they need to go a step further and severely restrict mail-in voting. Generally, German courts are much better than our courts in dealing forcefully with election fraud. They threw out the entire state election result in the state of Berlin last election and reuired the whole election be re-run due to fraud. |

Unfortunately, this is another example of the fraudulent nature of mail-in voting. AfD received 51.20% of the votes cast by voters on election day, but only 24.27% of those on mail-in ballots. Both a German attorney and an academic plagerism expert have pointed to the liklihood of voter fraud.
www.thegatewaypundit.com. There is already at least one voting fraud case open in Saxony-Anhalt that may well illustrate what was going on. A man who has guardianship of his aged mother due to her advanced dementia and is supposed to be forwarded from the nursing home all of the mail she receives, asked the nursing home why he had not received his mother's mail-in ballot. A nursing home official then claimed that all mail-in ballots for persons unable to handle their own affairs had been shredded. However, when he checked with election officials, her ballot had been cast and counted. He then went to the police. Scams like this may well explain the difference in mail-in ballots. The German Supreme Court has already required paper ballots and banned electronic voting machines, saying the results from the machines are not verifiable. Maybe they need to take a good hard look at mail-in ballots, too. |

The youth vote is heavily swinging to anti-immigration populist right parties all over Europe. In France, it is behind Marine LePen and the anti-immigration National Rally, Polls now show LePen far ahead in the first round of France's next election for president, and easily defeating any possible runoff opponent.
