Why Vote for Conservatives?
BY: HOOD RICHARDSON
Whom one votes for has a lot to do with their future success. That success has to do with taxes and quality of life.
Taxes are governed by how socialistic we as a society want to be. That is, do we want to continue our giveaway programs. Already a lot of people are making their way in society without working. Housing and rent subsidies paid by governments along with free food programs of all kinds are becoming a larger part of our society. Drug use is rampant with governments handing out slaps on the wrist along with medical care and more free drugs.
Quality of life has a lot to do with education. Our public education system has become another welfare state. There is little real education in the public school and higher education systems. Reading, writing, arithmetic and real history are no longer emphasized. Multiplication tables, cursive writing, phonics and the history of our founding fathers is no longer taught. Children graduate without being able to do arithmetic, sign their name or understand basic freedoms (the Bill of Rights). They are taught to follow authority and be quiet.
It is no wonder there have been seven school age suicides within the past couple of years in the Beaufort County School System. The curriculum is grounded in hopelessness.
However, the Beaufort County School System has an answer. It wants to start providing mental health services to students. Look at the garbage that has come out of the school system during the past few years. The school system has sewn confusion about sexual orientation and pronouns. Now these same incompetent people want to provide clinical psychological services in the schools. Beaufort County Commissioners appropriated over $400,000 to provide these services at their October meeting. This is only the tip of the iceberg for future costs. Parents, keep your children away from school psychologists.
Beaufort County Commissioners and the school board have made some very serious mistakes over the past few years. Continuing to construct consolidated schools (Eastern Elementary) is a serious mistake. We need neighborhood schools. School officials say we are saving money, but we are not educating children. Another communist move to further push school consolidation was the closing of the Snowden School in Aurora and consolidating those children into Chocowinity. We saved no money and harmed children.
The rank-and-file leadership of both political parties (Democrat and Republican) support candidates who support the things discussed in the above paragraphs. The Democrat Party has gone socialist/communist. The Republican leadership “want to be’s” are hungry for power and are supporting any candidate who promises to govern as a liberal but run as a conservative. There is a game of smoke and mirrors within the Republican Party. They claim to be conservative but support liberal candidates. Their attacks on conservative elected officials, both the school board and the county commission, are well known to anyone who follows local politics. The same games are played on the state and federal levels. Think about people like Thom Tillis and Mitch McConnell. There are many more, too numerous to mention here.
Truly conservative candidates usually win. The RINO’s (Republicans in Name Only) will vote for Trump because they have to in order to elect their liberal buddies. Donald Trump is an exception. Compare him to both the Bush Presidents. The Bushes lied to us about their conservatism. Trump told the truth. He is doing what he said he would do. That is why he suffers.
We need to make sure we elect conservatives to office in Beaufort County. Be wary of candidates endorsed by the Beaufort County Republican Victory Committee. The Victory Committee is a strong-arm takeover of the Beaufort County Republican Party. They spend money raised under the conservative Republican umbrella to support their liberal candidates. The defeat of conservative Travis Martin, Sheri Clark and Tex Melton was caused by the Victory Committee. They set their sights on Commissioner Stan Deatherage in the November elections. Members of the Republican Victory Committee are Paul Varcoe, Keith Kidwell, Greg Dority, Steve Rader, Ashley Woolard and Carolyn Garris. Consider them and who they endorse.
The Victory Committee along with Carolyn Walker meddled in the school board races to the point that the only conservative candidate for school board endorsed by the Conservative Club is Charles Hickman. The closest we have to a conservative is Danielle Brinson in the 6th District.
If you agree with complaints presented in this article, please vote for proven conservatives in November. The proven conservative county commissioner candidate is Stan Deatherage. May God help you in picking and sorting through Republicans in the other school board races.

Governing is a very real thing; it is not pop art as so many consider it to be; those people who are not serious about this Constitution Republic.
