Beaufort County's board of county commissioners may have held an illegal meeting to hire a new county manager, current Washington City Manager Brian Alligood.

Remarkably, there appears to be a meeting to announce the hiring of the new county manager on Monday morning. Beaufort County NOW, while it is true that we have a long standing request that we be notified of all county meetings, was not notified of the Monday meeting, yet on many days, in the last few months, we are by far the largest media resource in Beaufort County.

This is no way to represent the public's government to the People.
