Reports indicate McConnell is going to allow a vote on Trump impeachment

We all need to remember no matter who is President, Jesus Christ is Lord of Lord's and King of Kings. There is always hope through our Lord and Savior.

Bobby Tony, you hit the nail on the head about politicians.

I have been a politician or in between office for going on 3 decades, and I think far less of politicians now than when I began.

However, even though we disagree on some small issues, I would like to think that me and The Hood would always have each others' backs on the big issues.

On another note, I did appreciate the MIB video. After watching Lonesome Dove ... for about the seventh time recently ... I reckon I am a considerable Tommy Lee Jones fan.

Thanks BO Editor for the McConnell update.

It really looked like Mitch was getting worn down by relatively "hot" Asian wife.

Editor's Comment: Sean Hannity just reported that he had talked to McConnell's office today and McConnell does not plan to call the Senate into session for impeachment.

I doubt it would have changed things, but these 52 words would have been much better if published prior to the Wednesday Capitol Demonstration on January 6, 2021.

Of course, the text will be interpreted and parsed by the media due to the capitalization of the ALL as a further denial by the President that he still does not condemn the rioters specifically.

"In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You.” The White House Official Site

One of the first lessons I learned years ago bellowed by some old grunt Sarge was “it is what it is!” Unlike the Military, Politicians don’t apparently have a problem with “leaving someone behind” when their usefulness has ended. Their horizon is solely based on 2,4 or 6 year increments.

What I think is no longer relevant to the past election.
Once again Hollywood makes the point better than I could.

McConnell is literally in bed with the special interest.

I still think Leader McConnell will come to his senses real fast, and if he does not, he is finished along with of those that stick with him who are from Red states.

You are right Bobby Tony. It is over for Mr. Trump.

Sadly, he did realize it sooner because he really does not understand how the vast majority of politicians think, which was his strong suit, and also his bane.

You are right about another thing, these days of The Donald will be the fine stuff of a Shakespearean comedy /drama /tragedy all rolled into one.

I think it is time for all Americans to settle back and get ready for what is boring and stupid and Socialist, and begin the political fight anew at a time of our choosing.

A big issue for me further, push and demand will be the ending of the tyrannical political soil, where unconstitutional elections can be held here in North Carolina, where cheating could and did occur.

You should advocate the for the same in Georgia with your local politicians.

Thanks again for your always creative input.

This is about more than personalities. McConnell is in bed with the special interests and always has been. What he seems to be doing is trying to put the special interests over the grassroots, and doesn't care if he is doing the dirty work of the Democrats to split the party in the process of his power plays. If McConnell follows through on this, conservatives need to defeat the McConnell Republicans in 2022. We have a Senate race in NC in 2022, and we must demand that candidates pledge to vote against McConnell for leader, and any who refuse to do that should NOT be supported in either the primary or general election. We need to crush McConnell everywhere. He is poison to our party.

Donald Trump is now or soon will be irrelevant except for those on the left who want to put a stake in his heart and those on the right who cannot except reality. He is now reaping the crop that he in a large part sowed and cultivated. Regardless of the manner or legality of the election, he lost, it has been certified, and the next curtain for the next act is being raised. The actors are in place and the show continues.
As Shakespeare said:
“This life, which had been the tomb of his virtue and of his honour, is but a walking shadow; a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” MACBETH. Shakespeare
The challenge now, is for some political party to rebrand its self-using the foundation of freedom, respect, compassion, Fiscal responsibility, limited Federal control and equality of opportunity for all. The politics of group think & Party allegiance has produced this tribalism which is counterproductive to any sense of a self-governing society.
Most people are reasonable as individuals but irrational as a group, mob or movement. Even Hollywood knew that.

While the Capitol Premises Riot was a terrible piece of history, I do not see it as this hysterical "Crisis of our Democracy".

The real "Crisis of our Democracy" was the coordinated Democratic Socialist stealing of the election of 2020. We know how this cost President Trump when he lost to Covid Joe, America's first Idiot President, but what has yet to be discovered is where they (the Democratic Socialists) took the time to cheat in other down ballot elections. I am not convinced that Ole Coop really defeated Dan Forest.

Mitch McConnell needs to remember that at least 8 out of 10 Trump voters in his home state, in the swirl of all this outrageous controversy, would vote for Mr. Trump today unto the exclusion of himself, and it is good that Kentucky does not have the threat of Recall (at least I do not think so), or he would never serve out his full term.
