Comments for Incompetence Reigns on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, there occurred a Special Called Meeting of the Beaufort County Commissioners regarding possible land acquisition for the Beaufort County Schools due to their inadequate planning at the most essential level.

Conservative Voter: You are right; the only people that that every mention felonies in connection with Mr. Trump are the completely unknowledgeable, and, or, the Non Patriot Left.

Only those on the extreme left give any credence to the trumped up politically motivated fake charges brought against President Trump by that crooked Soros prosecutor. Everybody else has that scam figured out.

On planet earth, he was.

Kangaroo courts and Stalin SHow Trials don't count, Bolshevik Bob. The American people have figured that out, if you would bother to read the polls.

Big Bob: President Trump was NEVER arrested by a real prosecutor, charged with a real crime, nor prosecuted by a real judge, in a real court in a non corrupted state.

Every human, with a full working brain, KNOWS that this is /was a Non Patriot Leftist fantasy, and nothing more.

The scourge of Lawfare, by corrupt Democratic Socialists and Non Patriot Leftist fake lawyers and jurists, is being rooted out as I type, and one very day soon, this Constitutional Republic will once again become a "Nation of Laws."

Dude, the president was arrested, charged and convicted of 34 felonies.

That's the problem with living in a lawless society. However since most of you are ok with that, you look like fools bringing up legal problems of others.

Southern Proverty does a good job. The fact they live rent free in your head confirms it.

Yes, Bolshevik Bob, there are far left hate sites like Southern Poverty Law Center who constantly spew hate at conservative sites and have the gall to call their opponentss "hate sites" or "hate groups". One of the attorneys at the Southern Poverty Law Center was arrested in Atlanta for terrorism, which tells you all you need to know about those phonies.

Well, your "net nanny," or whomever is responsible in shielding you Leftists from the emotional damage of so-called "hate speech," does have one exact thing in common with the former administration ... profound stupidity, and ...

That's bona fide.

Our net nanny at work dubs the BO a hate site and blocks it. I was bummed, but I get it.

One would think that the City of Washington would handle their own promotion online ...

One thing is absolutely for sure, I will NOT be allowed to quote their digital business, even though my small company is the only entity that can achieve excellence at this highest level of competence here in eastern NC.

Wikipedia has been denounced by its co-founder as "badly biased to the left". No wonder it does not include conseervative sources. It is heavily infiltrated by the Soros mafia.

I personally could do a title search, even though it has been years since I have done so, and I do well understand how to forensically follow the chain of title; however, it is the responsibility of the county government to show a measure of incorruptibility, and perform that title search on behalf of the people.

It might be better if I request a public information request since the taxpayers own that title search already that was recently done.

Also the City of Washington does not consider me, or anything I am involved with to be real.

I just do not believe that their poor politicians, or their flagging bureaucrats possess the mental acuity to know what is real. Case in point, I nearly begged the city government to do their website, and when it came to getting it done, I was not invited to bid on it.

The problem there for me is two fold , which I do realize at this point: 1) The City of Washington will always pay more for any product or goods and services if they can purchase said goods / services out of the area, and in this case out of the state; 2) Additionally, due to the mental acuity factor in their flagging bureaucracy, the City of Washington is foresworn to constant and unmitigated mediocrity.

As a provider of value in everything we do here at SNI, my level of service would never qualify, since I would have been the low cost provider; additionally our complete inability to be mediocre in anything that we create would have been detriment in the City of Washington's level of mediocrity always desired when spending the public's money.

Hey Stan,
Wikipedia has a City of Washington webpage.
It list local media, but not NOW. You should go to an edit and mention NOW...and perhaps some other info of interest.
en.wikipedia.org

Regarding you calls for a Title search of the said 4 acres valued at $500,000... Why dont you and your Realtor peers do a private title search for the public's benefit. I know it wouldnt be "official" but some knowledge is better than no knowledge. Certainly, a realtor has the know-how to get that done. Thanks in advance.

This arrogant behavior by our liberal politicians - Democrat AND RINO - is outrageous. They are thumbing their nose at taxpayers while they waste our money.

RINO Hunter: Agreed, and I thought of that last night since the Center - Left Coalition will continue to deny transparency to coverup their complete incompetence.

Van Zant: Last year for me was very necessary on so many seminal levels, even though I fell very much behind in my journalistic duties. This year, I have renewed my inspirational contract with my curious reading public, and I WILL regenerate this Eastern NC NOW behemoth into the fountain of knowledge it once was, and in these great portions, I will make available all news I can find time to deliver.

Yes, and then the public will have far less of an excuse to know so little about the ongoing affairs here in Beaufort County.

The public deserves to know the reaason. This is a coverup by flailing politicians and unaccoutable bureaucrats. Someone needs to do a public records request for all information related to that boondoggle and then publish what they get.

While I can only guess at this point, it really does not feel or smell right. So many ties, familial and otherwise, between three boards with money on the table when it did not have to be. I've got a real bad feeling it is not stopping here. The general public needs to get their collective heads out of the sand and start watching these boards for the good of the community and their own good. All three boards need public oversight.

Tonight, February 3, 2025, the Center - Left Coalition - two Democratic Socialists and the two irrefutable RINOs, those, who swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County - voted to not learn the reason why the Beaufort County Schools forced this easily pliable Center - Left Coalition to waste $500,000.00 of taxpayers' money when none was needed to be frittered away; gone for good.

Many ridiculous issues, as grand and utter conflation, were offered as to why the money was necessary to be wasted in such a will-nilly manner, but NO explanations of any merit were significant enough to warrant this frivolous squander of the public's money by this Center - Left Coalition, those who swap votes to share power on the Beaufort County Commission; regardless of the issue.

Stan, let me play Nostradamus for you.
Whatever you, Tandy and Hood vote For, the others will vote against!!
Its Known, Known!

Just being kind, I would label them "Mr. Opposites."
If I could make bets on knowing how they will vote, I would become a millionaire.

p.s. When it comes to Govt officials locally...Follow the money.

While it is clear that the school board attorney was AWOL on this, way off in Durham, the other question is, where in the heck was the county commission attorney?????? This whole boondoggle is a comedy of errors. Attorneys are the ones who are supposed to keep it straight.

Randy Walker recently stated as much in an open meeting, as he was the alternative to Commissioner Richardson, which he professed was the "noble" position to take.

So, let me propose something here as a recurring math problem.

Over the last number of years, Commissioner Richardson has proposed all kinds of ideas to me, all looking forward, sometimes with just a hunch of an idea of what is best. We talk among ourselves, and some of those ideas never see the light of day, but a great many go forward refined.

Additionally, my ideas are subject to a refinement by The Hood, and some never see the light of day as well.

Over the years, when the varying Center-Left Coalitions vote against myself and Commissioner Richardson's promising process of conservative governing, which they invariably often do, in retrospect, The Hood /Stan plan turns out to be eventually right around 90% of the time to effect conservative governing, with the balance of 10% correct in opposition to a perfected conservative government, so I ask: Which side would you want to be on, the 90% side where you are mostly right, or the 90% where you are mostly wrong?

I can do math, and I know right from wrong, or just plain stupid, so that answer will always be simple for me, and I wager my constituents, obviously, understand this conundrum as I do.
