Van Zant: Do you know that the current Beaufort County GOP inner sanctum does not actually Rightly know my correct name?
I have been elected to 7 terms as a Conservative, as a Real Republican; all those campaigns, all those signs, and they do not even know what my surname has long been since birth. In this primary campaign, the Beaufort County GOP has done NOTHING to drive turnout, and they for they are working against all Conservative Candidates, save the RINO Whisperers. This current Beaufort County GOP is a surreal quantity of BS.

My point is that the folks controlling the Beaufort County GOP are behaving like a Political Action Committee or a private political club during this primary. That is inappropriate behavior for a political party in a primary. All the while these hypocrites are badmouthing one or two private local political organizations as if they have any authority over them. I also hear them ranting about a PAC. I'm not aware of an actual PAC in existence that would fit that bill, so they are probably substituting that for one of the organizations.
Unless the Beaufort County Republican Party finds new leadership, they are well on their way to self-destruction.

It's odd that Garris and her illegal in the shadows committee pretending to be the Beaufort County Republican Party Executive Committee are accusing a private political club of pretending to be the local GOP. This criminal element is accusing others of doing what they are doing. There has got to be some controlling authority in the state GOP or in the state Board of Elections to shut down this criminal enterprise. This is massive fraud on so many levels.

Terrible tragedy that Ashley Woolard and Carolyn Garrison cost two Republicans the election in the Washington City Council Race. Cost republicans two decades of progress because of Ms Carolyn and Ms Ashley Woolard in Washington! they must be held accountable!

Thanks Van Zant: I don't do Social Media, and nobody is made smarter on Facebook, so I am not aware that these nefarious actions of the Beaufort County GOP.
I am aware that the Beaufort County GOP has, in the past, sponsored candidates that were far less conservative than those that were roundly considered Conservatives. Now, the Beaufort County GOP has elected not to meet to hold business meetings with the elected Executive Committee, and do business to promote all candidates running in the Republican Primary. In fact, some one remarked that the Beaufort County GOP has not voted to do any business for nearly a year now, and I cannot find fault with that observation. That behavior is entirely frustrating for Real Republicans here in Beaufort County.

In this primary season, who is on Facebook using the Beaufort County Republican Party name giving thumbs up to some Republican candidates and ignoring other Republican candidates? I wonder who authorized this. You know it wasn't the Beaufort County Republican Party Executive Committee. If it was (but it wasn't) they would be out of line too.

Steed: I read an article somewhere recently that discussed what you and I have been debating over: the Boomer (1946-1964) political strategy vs. the Gen X (1965-1980)/Gen Y (1981-1996) political strategy within the realm of Conservative thinking.
The Gen-ZYennials, those born between the early 90's to early 2000's, are the ones really setting "old world" political gatekeepers on fire. They are taking knowledge they've learned from previous generations, studied many different angles and are asking hard questions NOBODY, only a select few are excluded from NOBODY, wants to bring into public discussion. In some ways, I think some people are genuinely trying to protect the "old world" because times SEEMED to be better. Others are doing so because they want total f-ing control over everything. Many of our collective heroes come from the "old world". The key to this is taking what was before and making it work in the NOW. It's not anything drastic; it's a kick in the ass.

Washingtonian, there are pluses and minuses on every politician. That's a fact. For some like Jesse Helms, John East, and Walter Jonees, Jr, the minuses are hard to find, while on others like Thom Tillis and Steve Troxler, they are as evident as warts on someone's face..
The big difference in our NC House primary is how they would vote on key issues before the legialture. We have one candidate with a record, which is solidly conservative, and who wears his support of conservative issues on his sleave. We have another with no issue record, but a political record of support liberal Democrat Marc Basnight, and who does not put a single policy issue on his website. He also sucks issues as much as he can when asked about them. It is crystal clear which one will stand up for us on conservative policy in the General Assembly. It is not even close. I agree that the provision on legslators being exempt from the public records statutes stunk to high heaven but it was placed as a special provision in the state budget by the Senate. Budget rules do not allow amendemnts on the floor. Only the House Appropriations Committee had the power to amend the senate version of the budget to take that out. When they failed to do that (and Kidwell was NOT a member of that committee), no legislator was allowed to offer a floor amendment to take it out unless they rewrote the part of the House rules that prohibited floor amendments on the budget. If Armstrong is pushing that issue, it just shows eitehr 1) how little he know of how the legislature operates, or 2) that he is deliberately making a false attack. We need a conservative representing us, NOT an establishment puppet.

Yes, I use an alias because when its shown that other alias users
here, attack & try to destroy my "alias," it becomes obvious why it is dangerous to use one's real name n Beaufort Co. These pple using their alias's would actually try to destroy my real reputation right here among my own pple. So, Everyone should look in a mirror & judge selves. Why so much violent intent? When u set your hair on fire to protect a "politician,"(when we all know that politicians "serve to serve themselves,") I have to wonder what's in 4 you? WHY set your hair on fire over a politician. We know that 99.9% of politicians would throw their own cronies under the wheels of a bus to protect themselves. Meaning you, who set your hair on fire for Kidwell, are just useful idiots. The question always comes back to "what's in it for you?" JUST SAY NO to KIDWELL, who voted w the rest of th legislature to EXEMPT selves from PUBLIC RECORDS Laws when it comes to their own offices. WOW! Yes, its time to clean NC House!

On Thursday February 12, the Beaufort County Republican Party had another committee meeting date. They once again failed to have a business meeting while the chairperson made illegal proclamations in attempts to have a secret meeting without members that could be trouble to her evil shenanigans. They flat out refuse to conduct legal business.
Yes. In this environment there is a crucial need for the Conservative Club.

Washingtonian, you are the one who has repeatedly called others "liars" when the actual facts on public databases show they were telling the truth and it is your statements that are just plain wrong. Look in a mirror. You are an "alias" poster, too.
This race pits a proven conservative against an establishemnt empty suit. The debate at the Civic Center clearly showed that. Sorry that you back the establishment.

I think most of the "aliases" posting here think of themselves as members of the superior political party. Yet they are unable to see how much they are just like the radical Democrats who use personal Attacks to shut down opposing opinions.
Rather than just read and hear a fellow Republicans post, these rude people reduce themselves to the lowest common denominator and attack w the ignorance of revenge in their hearts. It is also what is wrong with Washington and Beaufort County. Agree or be destroyed! This attitude rubs off on people at all levels. It makes a "charming" small town into a city of hate. Basically, at the high school level. I think Rep Kidwell initiates this garbage through his local cronies. Its why voters must: "JUST SAY NO TO KIDWELL." WeThePpl deserve better. Feed your soul, love a farmer.

Those mailers from the Big Ag PAC are delusional if they think we care about an endorsement from liberal Raliegh RINO Steve Troxler. Troxler is as bad, if not worse, a RINO than Thom Tillis. Will they send our a Tillis endorsement next? Big time RINO political consultant Paul Shumaker, the man who created Thom Tillis politically, had a wet dream of making Troxler the establishment candidate for governor in 2024. Tillis and Troxler are the same breed of cat. Personally, I do NOT vote for Traxler, and would not even consider voting for anyone he endorses. NEVER TILLIS. NEVER TROXLER>

That Big Ag PAC that is mailing a deluge of postcards for Armstrong is funded by people who employ illegal aliens, and a lot of them. Armstrong would be bought and psid for on immigration enforcement and deportation issues by pro-amnesty forces, a prostitute for that special interest.
Another group funding that Big Ag PAC that is mailing the Armstrong postcards are the environmental extremists who tried to put out shrimping indutstry in eastern NC out of business. He would be bought and paid for on that issue, too.

No Bubba, I'm just speaking the truth about a local politician (Kidwell) with words that you FEAR will affect the voters. WEll Bubba, if it affects them then it is because they know how well it is the truth. Your constant RAGGING on Armstrong wont change that fact. You simply show that your Gang is running scared.
Kidwell is like a dirty diaper and needs to be changed for the good of our own citizenry. JUST SAY NOT TO KIDWELL. He's not for you, he is for HIMSELF.

Kidwell & his local right arm Garris, r workin shoulder-2-shoulder to destroy all conservatives locally who dont agree to tak orders from those two.
It appears he has some lobbyist on this forum too, who for th life of me I can only assume r paid off as well. No one worships a politician like they do unless they r gettin things in return 4 it, perhaps a big payoff? Heck I dont even kiss up to Trump th way they do to Kidwell. Perhaps its bec I know tht politicians arent Kings, just flawed ppl as th rest of us. So u guys here must b bought off, th same way Kidwell is by th lobbyist. As for Darren Armstrong, no one growsup & say, I want to become a farmer. Farmers r born farmers. Born a farmer & a farmer all their life. Trump tells us to value our farmers. They wrk hard to feed us. Only EVIL ppl would attack a life long farmer simply bec he chooses to serve n govt. Yet u ppl want to destroy him 4 his associations. So Kidwell is a no vote 4 me bec of his closeness w Garris. NO TO KIDWELL

Carolyn Garris: So you can provide me access to the "email list." I need it; I have needed it.
Understandably No one, and no group, no government, and certainly no political group has acted, or will act as an intermediary between me and my constituents, so ... I politely, respectfully request the most current email list provided by the NC GOP. Consider this my public request to campaign as I wish and need to do so, as this is, at its essential core ... My campaign! This is how 'I run for office these many times,' ... on my own ... And with NO intermediaries.
