In the Christmas Spirit: the Trans-Siberian Orchestra | Eastern North Carolina Now

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is one of those niche European groups that incorporate the older classical melodies with the subtle twist of their unique, and very present now to create a memorable musical moment.

The unique melodic moment of this Christmas season is their version of "Carol of the Bells", and two versions of Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major" (also known as the wedding song), where the Trans-Siberian Orchestra supplanted their poetic phrases into Pachelbel's classic melody to create their "Christmas Canon".

To illustrate the unique tonal quality of this wedding classic, which is always an instrumental, now set to words, we offer you this Heavy Metal version of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Canon": Below.
