When crazed leftists attack any law enforcement with a deadly weapon, including a vehicle or a gun, as those two crazed leftists did to ICE, then they win their Darwin awards. FAFO as they say. ICE has to wear masks because crazed leftists dox them and threaten their families. The left, itself, caused the need for the masks.
Border police in a number of European countries have had to resort to guns in dealing with illegal aliens. the Greek military actually killed a few of them trying to rush the main crossing between Turkey and Greece. It is justified because illegal alien invaders have used deadly force against border guards, including killing a Polish infantryman with a homemade spear. Federal law makes harboring an illegal alien a felony, and that law needs to be enforced. The Democrats want to keep here the illegal aliens who commit crimes in our country, so they can commit more crimes against Americans. Even Gov. "Tampon Tim" Walz pardoned a child rapist illegal alien to try to (unsuccessfully) keep him in the country.

And that brings up another feature of extremism. Extremists tend to source their information from those they agree with. In reality, every story has 3 sides, the left, the right and the truth. Extremists aren't interested in the truth. They tend to simplify an issue leaving out the very real complexities we all face in life.
Example: CV points out that Americans are with conservatives on illegal immigration. On one hand that appears true, however when Americans see citizens in Minnesota being shot in the street, kids torn from their parents, and masked gunmen patrolling their neighborhoods, support for this activity drops. Extremists want you to believe life is black and white. Everyone reading this knows that isn't true.

You might want to look at some polls, Little Bobbie. Americans are with conservatives on deporting illegal aliens and the SAVE Act to protect our elections from shananigans. They are with the GOP on energy, not the Democrats nutty climate crusade. They want to keep biological males out of female sports and female restrooms and locker rooms, again aligning with the conservative position.
In fact, Bobbie, form your posts here, you are quite a far leftist.

Your worried cause you just make it up. Both parties have their extremists. The BO is a far right-wing publication that 80% of the country would be at odds with. The democrats have their version of it on the far left.
Both sides make up stuff about each other to appear normal. Extremists are not the norm, hence why we call them extremist. Maybe we should be working together to solve our common problems.

It is just not that complicated: The Left is bereft of all common sense, and all common decency, and this is me, with all my knowledge attained, just being kind because I could innumerate and go quite deep.
Is the Republican Party the answer? Maybe, but only if we rid ourselves of most, if not all of the RINOs.

Unca SD: I think the common denominator here, once all the smoke settles, is the Uniparty (Globalist) coalition. They have entrenched themselves into both parties and have done exactly what General/President Washington said they would do.
One side blames the other, and vice versa, but we all know they eat together at the Waffle House when the match is over; it's all kayfabe meant for entertainment purposes. People now see the kayfabe...you can think Vince Jr for that one.

JV: I know real estate quite well, and I know government even better, whereby, I am forced to declare Steed is correct: The Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left are completely responsible for the Inflation that got rolling hard during the Vegetable President's Administration.
The two main culprits that drove up housing inflation was mainly the over stimulus by the Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left when Covid was absolutely over, which was the worst supply and demand imbalance in history. The housing inflation situation was just as bad: The recruitment of Illegals by the The Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left to use for their nefarious political and non patriot purposes. It is my estimation that the Democratic Socialist /Non Patriot infamous and planned treasonous invasions by Illegals is costing a minimum of 1/2 trillion dollars per year of tax payer dollars over and above any possible benefit these Illegals may economically provide. This planned invasion will continue to cost We, The People until the problem is fixed, or this Constitutional Republic is dissolved by these terrible actions of the Democratic Socialists /Non Patriot Left.

Steed: You're a good dude and I respect you, man, but if you think that the current housing market and economy is solely the result of the left and "illegal immigration", I've got oceanfront property I'll sell you in Arizona, man.
If Republicans think that folks are going to keep buying that bullshit, they already know they're defeated. Trump backed Republicans aren't performing well across the board and it doesn't take Tesla to figure out why. It's almost like it's being done on purpose

The system on the BO will not let me revise my comment below, but I wanted to point out that the recent study on the impact of illegal immigration on housing costs came from the Federal Reserve.
Also, while I agree that Whatley was not my first choice as a candidate, and in fact I voted for someone else in the primary, he is now the only game in town to try to stop corrupt leftwinger Roy Cooper.

Inflation is a big problem, and the biggest source of that is federal deficit spending and the resulting debt. However, illegal immigration also drives inflation, as a recent study on housing costs recently showed, documenting how illegal immigration has been a major factor in rising housing costs, both rental and purchase. Other studies have documented how illegal immigration has increased the cost of medical care and of various types of insurance including medical insurance and auto insurance.
The war in Iran ran up petroleum prices, but they have come down a good bit. The problem now is the price of refined petroleum - gas and diesel. Part of that is the world market, impacted by Ukraine's destruction of Russian oil refineries and oil export terminals, resulting in Russia halting its export of refined products to preserve them for a strained local market, The market in the US for refined petroleum products like gas and diesel is also strained by California's asinine environmental policies that have caused two of their refineries to close and two more to switch to biodiesel instead of petroleum products. Now, instead of California being self sufficient to meet their own needs for gas and diesel, they have to import almost half of their needs. Originally, that was coming from Asia. Now it mostly comes from Texas, which strains the supply of refined petroleum products to the rest of the country, causing higher prices.

So.....Whatley comes to the Ayden Country Club and talks about Border Security for 30 mins. When gas is STILL $3.59-$3.69 per gallon and a gallon of milk is $3.50, Border Security is the last thing on someone's mind...that's not retired.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Whatley is the best that the NC GOP has to offer against Cooper, as Little Enos said in "Smokey and The Bandit": "Daddy, I b'lieve you're about to have your evenin' ruined." Right now, if I bet 100 dollars on Whatley NOT winning the US Senate seat, I get a $795 payout after Selection Night.

The biggest tent I can think of is a circus tent, and that is exactly what the Democrat Party has become - a circus.

The Democratic Socialist party, which by my political recollection began in 2007, has finally, and now completely given themselves over to the Non Patriot Left, and this Leftist bend in their road will either kill their pathetic political party, or destroy this Representative Republic completely. It may well be a zero sum game here.
Is the Republican Party the answer? No ... Not yet ... Certainly NOT if the GOP tries to become the "party of the Big Tent," that special place where clear thinking decisions made, and the common sense of true patriotism will go to die.
