It's probably just me, but every time that I travel to the northwest mountains of North Carolina it rains ... often with impunity. This was the unremarkable case on my last remarkable visit to the Boone area.
Where do you stand on the Transgender Issue now that the issue has gotten to the overt point of the open celebration of this lifestyle choice, dictated by certain direct and explicit actions.
84.62% I do not approve of behavior that has within its expressed tenants policies that harm children.

I thought this image was too dark, but my wife like it. She said it reminded her of an Andrew Wyeth painting. It does kind of have that "dry lostness," which is what Wyeth said he tried to achieve with much of his work, by mixing various forms of organic matter with his egg tempera: Above. Not wanting to temp the Gods of Inclement Weather by proceeding on foot to the Flat Top Mountain, so we retrace our steps back down the hill, where we once again look across the rolling pasture toward clouds drifting in the southern sky: Below. photos by Stan Deatherage
