    GREENVILLE     Vidant Medical Center will be working with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University to sponsor a free kidney screening for the Greenville area.

    The event will be held Thursday, March 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Joy Soup Kitchen in Greenville.

    These free screenings are designed for those at risk: anyone 18 years and older with high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of kidney disease. It is designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high-risk individuals and provide free testing and educational information so that kidney disease and its complications can be prevented or delayed.

    Anyone interested in attending should schedule an appointment by contacting Chesna McNeil at (252) 847-4621.
