There is a necessary truth that lies within the infamous boundaries of the abhorrent behavior of the unprincipled politician, and, or their handlers. If it will not end (and unprincipled people are loath to change in politics), it should be dissected, understood and properly suppressed. There are means to do so. This is one of them.
Where was Stan? Why wasn't he out pandering for votes? Why did he not spend record amounts of money like everyone else running for a county commissioner job that pays ... well ... negligible monies?
The simple answer: I am very busy, I do not have a political infrastructure surrounding me since
it was not my firm intent to file for re-election. Regardless, in Beaufort County political primaries, especially the Republicans', support has devolved into every man is, or every candidate's support group are, in it solely for their politicians' success. It's just the way the game is played around here, and I just have not had have the time to competently join in the fray. Right now in my life, my business comes first, and will for some time to come.
So to some extent, my loss was my own undoing. My lack of time and infrastructure was the catalyst for my unpreparedness to withstand the onslaught of candidates, most of whom are political neophytes, who only want to further their young political careers at any cost. Being part of a Republican team, elected to serve as functioning Conservatives, was not ever a consideration for these wide-eyed politicians of such limited experiences.
There is, however, another reason I lost: The lies of liars - men and women, who are of little use in a well functioning society of good people, where innate integrity is the norm rather than the exception. Lately, I have noticed, real integrity has become the first casualty in our society becoming sicker by the day, where work ethic and intellectual initiative is in short supply, and the lies of insipid gossipers are in great abundance.
But enough of this incredibly foul behavior; back to the primary election, and its root calamity of terrible candidate conduct.
As I said before, I am a busy guy, and I have not had the time to be out in the community to hear the lies of these liars much less refute them. That has now changed on two fronts:
1) I will soon no longer be a county commissioner, a public figure, with no desire to ever return to that dais. To some extent, time will be on my side, and my inclination toward any political nuance will not be a consideration as I act accordingly to any issues at hand.
2) Also, I will be in the community selling my products, my intellectual property much more now; seeking to help those that are actually serious in properly using the internet, and I'm sure I will hear more of the lies of liars that tilted the election away from the more serious, more qualified candidates, such as myself; and more toward those who consider the campaigning for an elected office some game of semantics, a cult of personality, and the lies. Lies so essential to their construct of candidate making, they will knowingly employ the unknowing deeds of others in our community, some of whom make the culture of falsehoods part of their purposeful existence, and thereby, they are employed by these unscrupulous politicians to gain a transitory advantage over someone of far greater integrity. Yes, these more indiscreet members of our community have, and will become these sorry politicians' 'tools'.
This is possibly why I lost, irrespective of the deficiency of the aforementioned lack of the three resources of any proper campaign: time, money and team.
Simply put, in a fair fight, I believe that I would have easily prevailed. I had that much confidence in the Beaufort County Republican / Independent electorate for that primary election at this time, and afterward, I would have had the time, and resources to shore up my campaign for the general election. I now see that as my error in judgement, but still I only had the resources to do with what I could do at this point in time, and my political reality was thus limited to such, and there was no alternative.
But this was not a fair fight.
I am now finding out that one or more of my opponents were Democrats shielded by the Republican brand, which has long been tarnished by these RINOs that exist among us. Many of these candidates did not wish to point a path forward toward concerted conservative governing, and thereby reduce the scope of government in our lives. They just wanted to win at all costs.
Democrat Don Cox was only a pathetic 'stalking horse' to marginalize my good name, my good deeds for a particularly scurrilous 3 amigos of incompetence, Beaufort County's own 'Three Stooges',
A.K.A. Washington Strategic Group,. These veritable losers, in multiple elections, can only win elections for others by telling the big lies on their opponents, and what makes them even more adversarial to the true integrity of a wise electorate, they play on people's worst inclinations by involving them, part and parcel, in the fabric of the whisper campaign (the aforementioned 'tool' factor) - the nastier the better - from a personal perspective, which I am now discovering was aimed at me alone. It was not only a nasty narrative built on lies, but so stupid it was demeaning to the electorate at large. Sadly, still it worked, which actually speaks poorly for that part of the electorate. My apologies to all the 'Pollyannas' for relating this sad truth. Some of us just are not as smart as the rest of us, and 'The Stooges' purpose flies like an arrow, straight and true, to collect the vote of those that have a real tough time of understanding the simplest level of abstract thought.
The whisper campaign was employed to bolster the
Sophistic Mr. Cox's mailer assault, as that 'stalking horse', against me to win a nomination for Ron Buzeo, who boasted that he had the 'firm support of Al Klemm and Al's (RINO) supporters'. Mr. Buzeo was also overheard to often repeat: "Stan has got to go."
From that oft-pronounced comment, Mr. Buzeo tacitly admitted that he does not work well with Conservatives. It is good to know this now, for some of us will stay far away from Mr. Buzeo and his RINO element that has not only proven to so destructive to the Republican party, but to Beaufort County's governing of a self-governed people. They have damaged this county, and in time will see infamous fruit of their behavior. You can count on it.
Mr Buzeo's campaign strategy dovetailed well with Democrat Don's mailer lies, orchestrated by Beaufort County's 'Three Stooges', by employeing this
evil whisper campaign to great effect to destroy my good character.
For those of you that are part of the remaining good and decent folk of Beaufort County, please feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail if you have specific knowledge of conversations about any lies about my so-called: 'marijuana usage', drinking at meetings, 'erratic behavior' due to the false narrative of my so-called substance abuse, my 'laziness', my specific 'bullying', actually anything you might have heard that was particularly libelous, representative of the sleaze that is the hallmark of the 'Three Stooges', A.K.A. Washington Strategic Group, and their pathetic candidates - everyone.
Since issues were never appropriately discussed, in this Republican primary, by any of candidates within this poor stable handled by these 'Stooges', A.K.A. Washington Strategic Group, theirs was a simple campaign built upon the conjecture of lies. Understandably, this is an intolerable precedent in a Beaufort County Commissioner Republican primary, and should not be allowed to continue to exist.
Remember this one truth expressed by others regarding the Holocaust, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
In conclusion, I am
excited about this transition in my life; however, now that I am becoming that private person, no longer a public entity, my tolerance to indiscriminate lies from liars will be wearing quite thin. Let this record of grievance here written signify, to what some real Republicans might consider unpatriotic behavior to fool and abuse the electorate, that I will not tolerate lying politicians or their handlers, and, moreover, I will seek all remedy necessary and available, punitive or otherwise. This is no thinly veiled threat, this is a heavy handed promise of supreme conviction.
This post should be considered fair warning to all who might believe, and act otherwise from the rigid dictates of principled folk. For those of us who live and govern by those dictates of principles, we find such unprincipled behavior understandably intolerable.
Be warned. I will cast a wide net.
Before voting the citizens of Beaufort County need to ask the candidates themselves if rumors about them are true or false. Don't believe the whisper campaigns, television ads and mailers that carry contagious lies.
