I would suggest this as a fair and unbiased poll:
(1) If the election for U.S. House of Representatives were held today, which candidate would you vote for in your congressional district? Democratic candidate Republican candidate Someone else Unsure 2 Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president? Approve Disapprove No opinion 3 Who did you vote for in the 2012 presidential election? Mitt Romney Barack Obama Other Didn't vote |
It is interesting that Gene Scarborough submitted a thought-provoking editorial on hate and then small minds attached a ridiculously skewed "poll" to make the point that the hate wins. We as a Christian nation have surely lost our way and are making ourselves the laughing stock of the world. It is not our President doing this to is - it is small-minded people who refuse to see beyond their own personal wants and prefer to deny others their true needs. This is not the way of Jesus Christ and it is certainly not the way of this country.
To those who prepared the poll - I am not "enamored" by my President. As I have told Mr. Scarborough, I respect my President and his love for his country. I know this to be true because I know of people in his life. Strong, well-educated people who have worked their entire lives to enrich other's lives and come from families who for generations have done the same for this country. These are people who know the President away from the cameras and outside of the Oval Office. These are people who know and believe in his wisdom and strength. These are positive, forward-looking people he chooses to allow in his life. I am not "enamored" by this President because, for all my faith in him and his wisdom, I know he has made decisions that I don't agree with. However, as a US Air Force Veteran, mother of three strong young men, one of whom has been to war, I know that I don't have access to the military intelligence information, intel reports from other countries, and access to the smartest minds in the world in order for me - a mere citizen who elected this man to act my behalf in such matter, to make the decisions he has made. Your arm-chair quarterbacking of the Office of the President of the United States, while funny to you and your ilk, is an embarrassment to the American People. There are "those who can" who run for office and are elected to act on your behalf, and then there are those "Who just don't get it" who would rather use very small minds to tear apart a fellow American just because it's funny, and more probably, because they feel that their own influence has been lost in this world - to someone who does not look like them, act like them, or understand their leftover ways of the days of glory before the Age of Reconstruction. Should our President have known the flag was for Wisconsin? Yes? Is this story even true? Highly doubtful. The media in the US is owned by 6 major corporations and 5 have no love lost for our President. If this story had a shred of truth, it would have been on constant replay on CNN. Gentlemen - take your anger and your hate and redirect it into something that helps this state and this country. And if you can't do that, then please remember the good Christian rule that everyone learned as a child - If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. |
Stan, my good friend and fellow citizen --- do you think your poll is just a "little bit" biased. I am a Psychology Major trained in doing research. The first rule is "make up questions which don't dictate an answer you want."
Just sayin' --- and I totally respect you as Editor / County Council Member / friend with far more in common than most I have in philosophy and outlook. |
I sent an email to my political guru requesting more info about the Electoral College whose vote trumps my popular vote. I hope they know more than Watter's world folks. President Obama is their fault.

Well Ted, you may have a point; however, I am an optimist, and being an optimist, I feel at some point a majority of the people will no longer be predominately some form of stupid.
At this time, in my 59.45 years of age, American's, by far, are the stupidest they have been. And remarkably, the younger they are, the greater propensity for stupid. Ironically, I blame it on the smart phone. That is why BCN reflects all views, and hopefully, we can do our best to elevate the level of discussion, and 'pop culture' is definitely 'not where it is at'. I was in New Orleans for 5 days last weekend, and what music did the hotel play? Techno Pop. Now, I have finally found a form of music more disgusting, and stupid, than HipHop and Rap. Decades before, it was Disco. Now Disco is almost like art comparatively speaking. is that what pop culture has contributed: Rap, HipHop, and now Techno Pop? The stupidity of pop culture may work for Candidate Obama now, but it will not save him from the strict dictates of history, or maybe even from impeachment. If Obama was a Republican, he would already be out of office. Every real Republican knows this one truth. Watters' World is the best part of O'Reilly's show. I enjoy laughing at stupid, and Watters definitely knows where to find it. Think about it: Some group of people had to be stupid enough to put this jackass in office. |
Fox News O'Reilly show has Watter's World to show that only a small population is listening to any kind of political commentary.
Obama is a master of the pop culture and will not get his due. |
I wonder was this stop, in Wisconsin, the 56th or '57th state they had visited, or the one they had no gotten to yet'.
When Gerge W. Bush would flub his lines, the Mainstream Media had great fun poking fun at the Republican. Not so much with this Democrat - hands off, hands off everything - Apology Tour, Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Benghazi cover-up, IRS targeting of political enemies and cover-up, losing the Iraq war, Bergdahl deal, Eric Holder lying to congress, etc., spying on Fox reporter James Rosen, etc., etc. Mr. Obama has not gotten his due yet ... but it is coming, and will be coming in a big way. |

There is no hate here, in fact hate is a bad word to throw around; however, the truth of the matter is that we have a lawless president, who would have been already impeached if he was a Republican.
