Is It All Just One Big Lie? | Eastern North Carolina Now

Considering ObamaCare architect, MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber's, callous regard as to the intellect of Americans, my well considered opinion: Thank-you for your honesty Sir.

    Pretty Much. It started back it 2007, when Community Organizer Obama convinced most Democrats and squishy moderates that he was competent and capable of commanding this American ship, listing solidly left, too far left. At that time, Candidate Obama knew his only avocation was that of community organizer, yet he spoke soaringly regarding 'hope and change', as if those pronouncements alone were the proper catalysts for better days ahead; as if his personal mojo would be equal to the task of playing president and defending this nation.

    It just never worked out that way. The Community-Organizer-bestowed-President found himself in the Great Recession of 2008, with no solutions other than to push madly for his socialized health care objective, ObamaCare, over righting the economy. The Community-Organizer-in-Chief even got his Democrats to an over 800 billion dollar stimulus package that ended up just a slush fund for Democrats (remember Solyndra), thereby squashing any chance of future stimulus for infrastructure. Governmental malfeasance has a way of limiting the deployment of large sums of public money by the more patriotic lawmakers.

    You see, the truth of how good Republicans see Amateur Obama: He is a politician not to be trusted. We, Republicans, have known this from the beginning, and, sadly for this formerly great land, we were right. Oh, how we were right.

    After the ill begotten Stimulus Package of 2009, then there was ObamaCare, which was rushed through congress before the Christmas recess for some illogical Democrat reason. Who could ever forget the comment to NACo (National Association of Counties Legislative Conference) by the vacuous Nancy Pelosi, then Speaker of the House: "We have to pass the Health Care Bill, so we can find out what's in it."

    The Democrats did pass ObamaCare, with their super majorities in the U.S. House and Senate, and what the nation found out later: 1) A penalty based incentive plan that became a tax to pass muster with the Supreme Court; 2) There was no government subsidy as promised for everyone, only the poor; 3) If you wanted to keep your current plan, forget about it; 4) If you wished to keep your doctor as promised, that didn't happen; 5) If you are worried about the cost of ObamaCare, which the rest of us pay the freight for in this nation, the cost would be de minimis; 6) The roll-out would be flawless; and so many more disingenuous promises, too many to mention here.

    The lying by Obama and his administration did not stop there. In fact, there has existed a culture of corruption, of dishonesty so prevalent that it boggles the imagination of truly honest folks. For Obama, and his wholly inadequate staff, cabinet, and the upper reaches of their departments, they feel entitled to their set of facts. Like many who subscribe to their Liberal ideology, and let's get this straight, all of Obama's people are ideologues, they feel entitled. Merit has nothing to do with any of it. From this ideological construct, we have an administration that will do, or say about anything to present a narrative that works within their perceived intellectual boundaries of their voting base, and here is an inarguable truth: Obama and his Democrat hierarchy severely discount your cognitive abilities.

    Just recently, when ObamaCare's architect Jonathan Gruber is discovered to have spoken extemporaneously, on three separate known occasions over the course of a year, that 'Americans are stupid', and that they purposely 'wrote the bill with such tortured language so that the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) could not score the Affordable Care Act(ObamaCare) as a tax'. The idea was to fool everyone: the CBO, the American people, because in this case the end justified the means. Reminds one of Barack Hussein Obama's literary hero, and mentor, Saul Alinsky: Yeah?

    The gross elitist cynicism of Professor Gruber is not the issue here. The obvious issue is that Jonathan Gruber was sought out by Candidate Obama to be the architect of The Amateur's most ambitious social program, with the intended end result to place 1/6 of the nation's economy under the direct control of the Federal government. In Amateur Obama's widening culture of corruption, Professor Gruber was the dutiful soldier to tell the big lie, to obfuscate the program and the plan - to make opaque what The Amateur had long misrepresented, a transparency of administration, espoused, that never existed. The one thing the MIT Professor has, besides an obvious intelligence to plan a program that could become America's theft of a private sector mainstay to create fertile ground for American Socialism, is a big mouth. The Professor's big mouth is certainly in conflict with Obama's long employed tool, learned from the likes of Joseph Goebbels, 'to tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, the people will eventually come to believe it'.

    John Gruber's big mouth notwithstanding, his words speak volumes as to the intent of the Obama administration's foray into Socialism.

    With transparency the enemy of fascist Socialism, Professor Gruber, was right: Everyone was fooled; except for most Republicans and their congressional representatives, everyone else - most Democrats, and squishy moderates. These Obama loyalists were the Obama team's patsies, and they bought the big lie ... twice. That's gotta hurt; to support the most dishonest, ineffective and incapable president of modern history for two elections. One can only pray: Did most Democrats and squishy moderates learn anything from this?

    Amateur Obama and Hillary B. (Benghazi) Clinton does not think so. When America was attacked on our soil in Libya by terrorists, and the Obama Administration told our contract soldiers 'to Stand Down', Liberals gobbled up the lie that it was a 'despicable video by an American filmmaker that was responsible, and to further sell the lie, arrested the filmmaker. Not only was this bought by most Democrats and squishy moderates, but the OMG (Obama Media Group) helped to sell this Obama fantasy. The Liberals that argued political correctness over the First Amendment are few in number now. Their righteous indignation is currently in short supply, with even some 'card carrying members' of the OMG actually starting to ask real questions of Barry Obama, rather than publicly ingratiate themselves in immeasurable devotion. Could this be a sea change for the devoted media, except for the far more accomplished journalists at FOX News and elsewhere, where truth actually matters?

    That could easily be determined when this Republican congress acts in total oversight of this dishonest administration that governs to deceive all of us, but, oddly, finds their greatest success with most Democrats and squishy moderates, and, lest we forget, the OMG.

    I can't speak for the Democrats, even though I know them better than they know themselves, or the squishy moderate, whom I don't pretend to know; however, just leave the Republicans to me, and others like me, and let this be a warning to them: You will do your jobs as a Republican majority, or I will do all I can to disabuse you of your jobs, and let the Democrats fill that vacuum .

    There is only one entity that I despise more than a shiftless ignorant Democrat, and that is a shiftless, ignorant Republican. This is my history, and I intend for it to stand.
