North Carolina Republican Party Names Kara Carter as Press Secretary | Eastern North Carolina Now

Executive Director Todd Poole today announced that Kara Carter has joined the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) as Press Secretary.

    Raleigh, N.C.     Executive Director Todd Poole today announced that Kara Carter has joined the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) as Press Secretary. Carter came to the NCGOP from Black Rock Group, a strategic communications and public affairs consulting firm in Alexandria, VA, where she worked on various public policy, corporate and political campaigns.

    "As we prepare for 2016, it is imperative we build a team that can help our Republican candidates succeed in North Carolina," said NCGOP Executive Director Todd Poole. "Kara's connection to North Carolina and her experience in policy and political communications makes her a strong addition to our team."

    "I'm thrilled to return home to North Carolina to join the NCGOP," said Kara Carter. "With a strong team and infrastructure already in place for 2016, the NCGOP is ready for victory at every level. I look forward to helping the Republican Party continue its success across the state this election cycle."

    Prior to joining Black Rock Group, Carter was a part of the communications team at the Republican National Committee, where she focused on video production and social media strategies.

    A Greensboro native, Carter graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Media Studies.

School announced yesterday that the so called forums at Chocowinity Middle School tonight (April 29,2025) and S.W. Snowden (Thursday May 1, 2025) have been cancelled pending the managers proposed budget.
