In Commissioner Deatherage's Campaign for Re-election, as your Conservative County Commissioner, Washington Mayor Pro Tem Nick Fritz endorsed Candidate Stan Deatherage to remain in office to lead a Conservative renaissance here in Beaufort County government.

For the first time in many years, the Washington City Council is led by a conservative group that wants to lower taxes and reduce the size and scope of government. More than ever what the county needs is conservative leadership to work hand in hand with the city and bring us the governance that we've sought after for years. No one exemplifies this more than Stan Deatherage.

In his many years as a County Commissioner he has never once voted for a tax increase. He has always fought for efficient government at the lowest possible cost to the tax-payer. It is my sincere hope that Mr. Deatherage is returned as a commissioner this year and that he takes his rightful seat as the Chairman. As the Mayor Pro Tem, as a city councilman, and as a citizen of Beaufort County, I fully support and endorse Mr. Deatherage. He has my vote. -Nick Fritz

As someone who knows how government works at all levels, let me tell you the essence of what I learned from the business I retired from: Government is interlinked and connected.

After moving to Beaufort County, I essentially wanted to know how the local governments operated, especially the county government, which is by far biggest gorilla in a small room, so to speak. What I learned from that evaluation is that Stan Deatherage, along with that Hood fella, stands head and shoulders above all the rest, therefore, Commissioner Deatherage, you have my non elected endorsement similar to the one Mr. Fritz so generously awarded you in the last few days.

Thanks Nick for your ringing endorsement.

Additionally, I was just notified that I am also endorsed by the Conservative and Veterans PAC as the Conservative choice for the Beaufort County Commissioners' race.
