Washington Police Arrest Six Individuals Involved In Shooting Incident | Eastern NC Now

The investigation into the shooting incident on Monday October 19th has resulted in six individuals being apprehended. During the investigation it was determined that the shooting occurred as a result of a drug transaction.

 The investigation into the shooting incident on Monday, October 19th, has resulted in six individuals being apprehended. During the investigation it was determined that the shooting occurred as a result of a drug transaction.

 Washington Police would like to thank all of the communities' involvement in helping with the investigation. We would also extend a special thanks to Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, Hyde County Sheriff's Office, NCDPS Community Corrections and Greenville Police Department for all of their assistance over the past three days. Those arrested include;

Arrested Tuesday, October 20th

 Michael Anthray Davis age 27 of Manual Drive Washington was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and placed in Jail without bond pending first appearance in court.

 Prentice Lee Barrow age 22 of Pantego St. Belhaven was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and placed in Jail without bond pending first appearance in court.

Arrested Wednesday, October 21st

 Mary Elizabeth Glover age 17 of River Chase Dr Greenville was charged with murder and placed in Jail without bond pending court.

 Antonio Bryce Topping age 18 of River Chase Dr Greenville was charged with murder and placed in jail without bond pending court.

Arrested today, Thursday, October 22nd in Greenville

 William Alexander Melton age 19 of Cherokee Dr. Greenville was charged with murder and placed in Pitt detention without bond pending first appearance.

 Demetrius Dontrell Smith age 21 of Singletree Dr. Greenville was charged with murder and placed in Pitt detention without bond pending first appearance.

On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Beaufort County Grand Jury returned a True Bill of Indictment against 24-year-old Brady O’Neil Daniels of Wallace, NC, charging him with the murder of Billy Joe Bell in 2023.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call in a wooded area near Pamlico Plantation in Washington NC.
In the past month, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and K9 Division have arrested 10 people in the county on felony drug charges.
On December 12, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 27-year-old Nikkopenia Terra Echevarria of Washington, NC on multiple felony drug charges.
Beaufort County District Attorney Thomas D. Anglim disclosed that Ryan Austin Stalls was convicted of two counts attempted murder and one count of attempted first degree ex offense and first-degree kidnapping following a guilty plea in Beaufort County on December 9, 2025.
On December 22, 2025, Deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Aurora/Richlands area for a report of a foul odor coming from inside a rental property where a tenant had previously moved out.
On December 5, 2025, Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested 39-year-old, Arnold Gerard Whitney of Belhaven, NC on multiple drug and weapon charges.
On Tuesday December 9th, 2025, 33-year-old Ryan Austin Stalls pled guilty in Beaufort County Superior Court to the following charges:
