Mr. William Henry "Mr. Bill" Trankle, age 85, a resident of Washington, NC stepped over to the next and final level of his glorious LIFE on Saturday June 4, 2016 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Eastern Carolina veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro officiated by Pastors Danny and Angela Robertson. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at River City Christian Center also officiated by Pastors Danny and Angela. The family will receive friends following the service at River City and other times at the home.

Mr. Bill was born in a log cabin in Blaine County MT on November 2, 1930, son of the late George NMN Trankle and the late Jessie Maude McDonald Trankle. He was a 1949 graduate of Flathead County High School in Kalispell, MT. Following high school he served his country in the U.S. Navy on an aircraft carrier in Korea. A sailor at heart, he enjoyed sailing on his boat "Seeker" (one who seeks after the Holy Spirit). On February 20, 1954, he married the former Helen Marie Kearly who preceded him in death on September 25, 1972. On August 15, 1981, he married the former Jeanne Ann Overman who survives. For thirty-five years Mr. Bill was a court reporter in D.C, Maryland and Delaware.

He has now been greeted by his Lord and Savior with the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant". There will be a joyful reunion and celebration with the saints who have preceded him and Jesus, Himself! This celebration will be eternal.

His life was dedicated to his Lord and then to his family. Surviving along with his wife Jeanne, are his children: George Trankle of Glen Burnie, MD, Jim Trankle of Shadyside, MD, Keri Shoemaker and husband, Dagwood, of Edmond, OK and Scott Nunn and wife, Shannon, of Berlin, VT; seventeen grandchildren: Jessica, Briana, Valerie, Abigail, Wesley, William, Lydia, Caitlyn, Brynn, Edyn, Sydney, Olivia, Chloe, Jordan, Devin, Remington and Sofia; two great grandchildren: Carolina and Madelyn and his beloved River City Christian Center "family"! Mr. Bill was predeceased by a brother: Donald Trankle and two sisters: Polly Mulliner and Georgina Wymer.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to River City Christian Center, 3806 River Road, Washington, NC 27889 or to Jungle Aviation & Radio Service, J.A.A.R.S, P.O. Box 248 Waxhaw, NC 28173.

Online condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.paulfuneralhome.com.

His calling was to serve and he did this freely and with abundant faith. He LOVED taking care of people and the list would take pages to show those he touched with ANYTHING he had to share. He "fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished the race"! He considered his life's goal accomplished: he had provided well for us all.

Our beloved Bill Trankle danced off the planet with Jesus!!!

Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington is honored to serve Mr. Bill's family.
