    Mr. Terry Wayne Latham, age, 56, a resident of Greenville, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

    Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2016 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Rev. Edwin Oeding. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    The following will serve as pallbearers: Logan Latham, Johnny Stox, Jr., Eric Johnson, Juan Ibarra, Ronnie Lupton (Terry's uncle) and Kenny McIntire.

    Jerry McKittrick will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

    Mr. Latham was born in Beaufort County on November 28, 1959. Mr. Latham was the son of Minnie Reason Latham and the late Edgar Harrell Latham, former Deputy Sheriff of Pitt County. Mr. Latham was a 1978 graduate of North Pitt High School. He had worked at Wal-Mart as a stocker/floor maintenance. Mr. Latham attended home fellowship of The Way International Biblical Research and Teaching Fellowship.

    In his spare time, Mr. Latham loved to dance, to fish, listen to county music, watch TV wrestling, and especially enjoyed dining out with his family at Mayflower Seafood. On September 6, 2008, Mr. Latham married Jallie Elizabeth Daughtry of Sampson County, who survives.

    Surviving with his wife of the home is his mother, Minnie Reason Latham of Bethel; three brothers, Greg Latham and wife Sandra of Washington, Kenny Latham and wife Theresa of Bethel; Richard Latham and wife Stacey of Greenville and a sister, Pam Stox and husband, Johnny Stox, Sr. of Martin County.

    Mr. Latham was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Harrell Latham.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
